Abstract: A device connects to a standard channel of a multicast network based on entering a service area, and receives a service announcement (SA) file via the standard channel. The device parses the SA file to determine a list of services identified in the SA file, and receives a selection of a priority service from the list of services. The device updates a priority counter associated with the priority service based on the selection. The device receives, after the period of time, information indicating entry into the service area, and determines that the priority counter satisfies a threshold based on receiving the information indicating entry into the service area. The device automatically connects to a priority channel of the multicast network, associated with the priority service, based on the priority counter satisfying the threshold, and receives a priority SA file, associated with the priority service, via the priority channel.

Abstract: A device can receive telemetry information from a set of telemetry devices associated with a set of vehicles. The telemetry information being received via a set of unicast transmissions that correspond to the set of telemetry devices. The device can determine, based on the telemetry information, that the set of vehicles are associated with the service area. The device can generate service area information using the telemetry information. The device can provide, to the set of telemetry devices, the service area information to permit a control device of a vehicle, of the set of vehicles, to perform an action. The service area information can be provided via a multicast transmission.

Abstract: A first cell device obtains, from a second cell device, multicast information associated with the second cell device, where a first wireless coverage area associated with the first cell device at least partially overlaps a second wireless coverage area associated with the second cell device. The first cell device transmits the multicast information to an element management system, and receives, from the element management system, an instruction, generated based at least on the multicast information, to not use one or more subframes, associated with a multicast transmission session associated with the second cell device, to transmit during the multicast transmission session. The first cell device determines, after receiving the instruction, that the multicast transmission session has been initiated, and causes the first cell device to not use the one or more subframes to transmit during the multicast transmission session associated with the second cell device.

Abstract: A stream management platform may receive a request to provide, via a network, a content stream to an area, wherein the request indicates a requested latency associated with providing the content stream to the area. The stream management platform may determine an entry node of the network that is to receive the content stream from a content source. The stream management platform may identify a plurality of transmission nodes associated with the area. The stream management platform may determine respective latencies associated with multicasting the content stream from the entry node to the plurality of transmission nodes. The stream management platform may determine whether the respective latencies satisfy the requested latency. The stream management platform may perform, based on whether the respective latencies satisfy the requested latency, an action associated with the content stream according to the respective latencies.

Abstract: A device receives a packet, of multiple packets, relating to a file being delivered via multicast, and a file delivery table associated with the file. The file delivery table includes uniform resource identifiers corresponding to respective sources of the file. The device determines that one or more portions of the file, that are included in the packet, are in need of repair after receiving the packet. The device provides, to a respective source corresponding to a uniform resource identifier, a request for data relating to the one or more portions of the file based on determining that the one or more portions of the file are in need of repair, receives the data from the respective source based on the request, and processes the data to repair the one or more portions of the file while one or more other packets of the multiple packets are being received.

Abstract: A device receives a first message indicating that a base station transmitted content relating to vehicle operation to a telemetry device associated with a first vehicle. The device processes the content to affect driving behavior of the first vehicle. The device generates a second message that includes a link to the content. The device sends the second message to a remote device, associated with a second vehicle. The device, by sending the second message to the remote device, causes the remote device to download the content via the link and send the second message to a neighbor device, associated with a third vehicle, which causes the neighbor device to download the content via the link. By downloading the content, the remote device and the neighbor device process the content to affect driving behavior of the second vehicle and the third vehicle.

Abstract: A device can receive a request to provide content to a set of devices in a service area. The request can include a set of content configuration parameters associated with the content. The device can obtain the content by using the set of content configuration parameters to search a content source. The device can separate the content into a set of content segments using a content configuration parameter of the set of content configuration parameters. The device can provide multicast session instructions to a multicast system to cause the multicast system to provide the set of content segments to the service area using a multicast session. The multicast session can be used by the set of devices to store one or more content segments of the set of content segments.
