Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for contacting a first battery unit to a second battery unit, comprising an electrically conductive element which has, on a first end, a first contact surface for electrically contacting the first battery unit and, on a second end, a second contact surface for electrically contacting the second battery unit, and a guide element extending in an axial direction between the first contact surface and the second contact surface, wherein the guide element has a guide surface for guiding the second battery unit in the axial direction relative to the first battery unit during assembly of the first battery unit and of the second battery unit, and wherein the guide element is designed as electrical insulation of the conductive element, and to a battery arrangement comprising the apparatus.
