Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for determining optimal grid interconnections. A power grid model that includes a topological representation of a power grid and electrical specifications of grid components can be accessed. First interconnection data representing a first proposed interconnection to the power grid can be obtained. At least one other proposed interconnection to the power grid can be selected. A modified power grid model can be generated at least by incorporating the first proposed interconnection and the at least one other proposed interconnection into the power grid model. A simulation of the power grid can be executed using the modified power grid model to obtain simulated power grid data. A combined impact of the first proposed interconnection and the at least one other proposed interconnection on the power grid can be determined from the simulated power grid data.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for an access controlled power grid model. A power grid model can include multiple regions. Access can be provided only to a subset of regions based on access privileges, and the user can be denied access to regions of the power grid model outside of the subset. A simulation can be executed using input from the user and can include simulation parameters for at least one of the regions in the subset. The simulation can be executed on the regions of the power grid model in the subset and at least one additional region that is not in the subset. The simulation can produce results that can include electrical values of components in the regions within the subset and values of components in at least one additional region. The output can include only the simulation results for regions within the subset.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for predicting electrical component failure. A first sensor measurement of a component of an electrical grid taken at a first time can be obtained. A second sensor measurement of the component taken at a second time can be identified, and the second time can be after the first time. An input, which can include the first sensor measurement and the second sensor measurement, can be processed using a machine learning model that is configured to generate, based on one or more changes in one or more characteristics of the component as depicted in the second sensor measurement compared to the first sensor measurement, a prediction representative of a likelihood that the component will experience a type of failure during a time interval. Data indicating the prediction can be provided for presentation by a display.
