Abstract: This disclosure above describes a method and system for transmitting and receiving Wake Up Burst and reducing UE power consumption. The method includes transmitting a Wake Up Burst (WUB) to a User Equipment (UE), the WUB comprising a reference signal. The disclosure describes format and functionality of the WUB, as well as various scheme for allocating resource for the WUB.
