    摘要: A normally closed dome switch comprises a printed circuit board including a switch trace having first and second contact areas electrically insulated from one another, and a conductive switch dome having a central portion spaced from the printed circuit board and a plurality of contacting portions extending from the central portion such that each of the first and second contact areas is contacted by at least one of the contacting portions when the switch dome is unpressed such that the unpressed switch dome forms a closed switch between the first and second contact areas. The switch dome is resiliently pressable to urge the central portion toward the printed circuit board and pivot the contacting portions about a corresponding fulcrum to remove the plurality of contacting portions of the switch dome from contact with at least one of the first and second contact areas to open the switch.

    摘要: A capacitive keyswitch comprising a first circuit support, an electrically insulating spacer, a dielectric structure, a second circuit support and an actuating assembly for actuating the keyswitch; the first circuit support is flexible and carries thereupon a first conductive circuit, the first conductive circuit includes a first conductive land; the second circuit support carries thereupon a second conductive circuit, the second conductive circuit including a second conductive land; the spacer has an aperture therethrough; the first conductive land, the second conductive land, and the aperture are substantially in register with the first conductive land and the second conductive land being in facing relation with respect to each other; the dielectric structure is interposed between the first and second conductive lands; the actuating assembly comprises a plunger and a pad; the pad is interposed between the plunger and the first circuit support whereby application of a force urging the plunger toward the first circuit support urges the pad against the first circuit support and, through the pad, urges the first circuit support toward the second circuit support, whereby capacitance between the first conductive land and the second conductive land is varied as the force is varied.

    摘要: A switch assembly is provided to actuate a pair of switches using a single key cap, e.g. for a camera that utilizes a first switch to activate an image focusing function and a second switch to activate a camera shutter. The switch assembly comprises an inner switch and an outer switch, wherein the outer switch, partially or completely surrounds the perimeter of the inner switch. The outer switch comprises an upper conductive surface and a lower conductive surface that, when in contact, electrically couples two terminals for closing a circuit. The inner switch comprises an actuator and a dome switch. When the key cap receives a first downward force, only the outer switch becomes activated and a first electric circuit is completed. When the key cap receives a second downward force that is greater than the first force, the dome switch collapses and a second electric circuit is completed.

    摘要: Membrane switch device comprises first and second parallel insulating supports having opposed first and second surfaces. A first surface central contact and a peripheral contact are provided on the first surface, the peripheral contact extending around and being isolated from the first surface central contact. The first surface central contact and the peripheral contact have commoning extensions which project towards each other and have adjacent free ends. The free ends of the extension define a commoning locus that surrounds the center of the switch site. The second surface has a second surface central contact thereon which is opposed the first surface central contact and a commoning contact which is opposed to and, conforms to, the commoning zone. The shorting contact is electrically isolated from the second surface central contact. Circuit conductors extend to both contacts on the first surface and to the second surface central contact only on the second surface. When the switch is closed, one closing sequence is excluded; the second surface central contact can not be connected to the first surface peripheral contact before it is connected to the first surface central contact.

    摘要: What is presented is a key module for a keyboard. The key module comprises a key tappet. The key module also comprises a module housing. The module housing is formed to movably accommodate the key tappet, in order to enable a translational actuation movement of the key tappet between a rest position and in an actuated position relative to the module housing. The key module further comprises a trigger element for triggering an actuation signal of the key module in response to the actuation movement. The trigger element is attached to the key tappet. The trigger element is a contactor for electrically shorting contact pads of a circuit substrate of the keyboard. The trigger element comprises more than two elastically deformable contact fingers for contacting the contact pads after different pre-travel paths in the course of the actuation movement.
