    摘要: A stirrup connector includes a cable connecting device, a clamp, and a control section. The cable connecting device is configured to secure a tap line to the stirrup connector. The clamp secures the stirrup connector to a stirrup. The clamp includes a set of jaws forming an opening that is smaller than a diameter of the stirrup and is configured to snap onto the stirrup when the set of jaws is forced against the stirrup at the opening. The control section is configured to be releasably engaged with a hot stick and to translate a connecting force from the hotstick to the clamp to secure the clamp to the stirrup. The stirrup connector provides an electrical connection between the stirrup and the tap line when the clamp is secured to the stirrup.

    摘要: A tool and method for handling a part within an electrical power transmission system is disclosed, the part having a flange with a hole through the flange. A first jaw and a second jaw are connected to pivot relative to one another and have respective ends that converge upon closure, for example to hold the flange between the respective ends. The first jaw may have a tooth extended at the respective end of the first jaw for fitting within the hole in the flange to hold the flange between the respective ends when the tool is in a closed position. The tool may be a hot stick adapter, or may include a hot stick made at least in part of dielectric material. An actuator may be connected to operate one or both of the first jaw and the second jaw from a user end of the hot stick.

    摘要: A clamp pin has two clamping jaws, each having a clamping arm and an actuating arm. Being connected pivotably to each other between the clamping and actuating arms, the clamping jaws are pivotable between a condition in which the clamping arms are opened and a condition in which the clamping arms are closed and toward which the clamping jaws are biased. The clamp pin has two actuating links, each having a upper end, which is connected pivotably to the actuating arm of one of the clamping jaws, and each having a lower end. The actuating links are connected pivotably to each other at the lower ends, via a grommet. The clamp pin is useful and may be advantageously combined with a clamp stick having a socket and having a hook movable into and out from the socket, wherein the grommet is adapted to receive the hook and wherein the actuating links are adapted to be drawn into the socket, along with the hook, when the hook is received by the grommet.

    摘要: A remotely operable mechanism for disconnecting an elevated pickup unit component of lifting apparatus from a tilt-up concrete wall slab in raised position following a lifting operation, the pickup unit being connected to the slab by fastening means engaging an insert embedded in the slab wall, includes a manipulating pole serving as an operating handle, and a flexible fastener coupling tool having a proximal end removably connected to one end of the pole and a free distal end opposite thereto, the connected pole end being uppermost on the pole in use. The tool has at its distal end a head releasably engageable with the fastening means and operable for disengaging the same from the insert to thereby release the pickup unit for removal from the wall slab. The tool includes a universal joint extending between and flexibly coupling the head and the proximal end of the tool, whereby the tool may be rotated by rotation of the pole while the pole is angularly disposed relative to the axis of rotation of the head. The tool also includes spring means interposed between the head and the proximal end of the tool for extending the tool coaxially with the pole while enabling the tool to bend for engaging the head with the fastening means. The tool head is movable into its engagement with the fastening means and operable when the latter is disposed at a location above and remote from an operator of the mechanism by manipulation including rotation of the pole grasped adjacent to its lower end.
