The two sliding portions are matched structurally to make the socket and locking member slide correspondingly.

    摘要： A door locking apparatus for use on a door and an associated door jamb is provided. The door locking apparatus includes a custom striker plate and a U-shaped element or U-Bar. The U-shaped element has two arm portions and the custom striker plate has two arm receiving apertures for receiving the arm portions of the U-shaped element. The U-shaped element partially encircles the shank of a door knob assembly and the two arm portions fit into the two arm receiving apertures to lock the door. A device for keeping the U-shaped element in a locked position is built into the U-shaped element. A preferred embodiment utilizes a notch on the U-shaped element to keep the device in a locked position.

The lock comprises a pair of base plates (16, 18), each secured to one of the wings so that in the closed position thereof the members (18d, 16d) are located side by side. At least one of the projecting members is formed with a dead-body receiving cavity (16g, 18g). A lock body (20) is provided, having a side portion formed with respective recesses (20a, 20b) configured and located so as to fit over both the projecting members. The lock body (20) is equipped with a key-operated locking mechanism (22) comprising at least one dead-bolt receiving cavity of the respective anchor member thereby preventing the disengagement of the lock body (20) from both anchor members. The projections (16d, 18d) may be in the form of elongated ribs, or cylindrical pins.

    摘要： A door latch is disclosed herein for use in cooperation with a door jamb striker plate and a door closure sliding latch which includes an elongated latch plate having a pair of lateral spaced-apart arcuate projections insertable into the opening of the striker plate so that the latch plate outwardly extends behind the door normal thereto. A notched slot is formed along the midsection of the latch plate and a securement block is slidably carried on the latch plate having a front surface adapted to butt against the adjacent edge marginal regions of the door and door jamb. The securement block includes a manually operated plunger mechanism for releasable engagement with selected ones of the notches in the slot to maintain the block in abutment with the door and door jamb.

    摘要： A base plate with an extension which defines a pair of notched seats is secured to the frame of a pivoting door in the gap between the frame and the door. A stop plate, made from a disk of stiff metal plate having an aperture of predetermined shape and with three bent sections that form a hand grip, is initially placed over the extension on the base plate while the door is closed. The stop plate aperture allows the stop plate to be displaced horizontally and downwardly until the section of stop plate defining the opposite end of the aperture lies within the upper notched seat and rests on the base plate. The stop plate confronts the face plane of the door; the door is prevented from opening beyond the door frame by the combination of the stop plate and the base plate.
