    摘要: A web forming device includes: a defibrator having a variable speed rotor, and configured to defibrate defibration feedstock by rotation of the rotor; an accumulator on which defibrated material defibrated by the defibrator accumulates; a thickness detector configured to detect a thickness of the defibrated material accumulated on the accumulator; and a controller configured to control a rotational velocity of the rotor based on a detection result from the thickness detector. The controller applies either or both a first control and a second control, the first control decreasing the rotational velocity of the rotor when variation in the thickness of the deposited defibrated material detected by the thickness detector exceeds a first tolerance, and the second control increasing the rotational velocity of the rotor when a slope of change over time in a thickness of the deposited defibrated material detected by the thickness detector is less than a second tolerance.

A method of dewatering a forming fabric in a paper making machine includes moving a forming fabric carrying a slurry stock through a dewatering area of the paper making machine; positioning a foil apparatus for supporting the forming fabric, the foil apparatus having a foil member defining a work surface and a pulse generator coupled to the foil member adjacent the work surface; and forming a nip between the work surface and the forming fabric by positioning the pulse generator relative to the work surface.

    摘要: An improved method for producing paper from pulp includes a plurality of subassemblies arranged in the forming or wet section of a Fourdrinier. The Fourdrinier includes a dewatering table having a plurality of blades that are static and on-the run adjustable in height and/or angle to control orientation of paper fibers in the stock to create a superior quality of paper and improved paper strength characteristics. Gravity and vacuum assisted drainage elements are equipped with on-the-run adjustable angle and height dewatering foil blades starting from a paper dryness of 0.1% and extending all the way to 5% dryness. The result of this process and machine is to improve the paper quality, save fibers and chemicals and fulfill the required paper properties.

    摘要: Methods for dewatering a fiber suspension in a twin-wire press, having a lower wire and an upper wire, and a first and a second dewatering table, which supports the wires such that a dewatering space is defined by the wires, are disclosed. The wires transport the fiber suspension under compression of the wires by the dewatering tables, such that the fiber suspension is dewatered and forms a fiber web between the wires. A separate pressing force is applied against one of the wires, such that this wire presses the formed fiber web via the second wire against one of the dewatering tables and further dewaters the fiber web. The separate pressing force is adjusted such that a desired dryness of the fiber web leaving the dewatering tables is achieved. A twin-wire press is also disclosed.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for dewatering of a fibre suspension in a twin-wire press (2), according to which method the fibre suspension is fed to an oblong dewatering space (4), that is defined by an endless lower wire (6) and an endless upper wire (8) of the twin-wire press, against which wires lower and upper perforated dewatering elements are arranged outside the dewatering space, and the fibre suspension is dewatered in the dewatering space (4) during displacement of the wires, such that a flow of filtrate from the dewatering space (4) through the wires (6, 8) and the perforated dewatering elements is formed, filtrate that flows from the dewatering space through the wires is collected in outlet boxes (18, 20), that the pressure difference between the dewatering space (4) and at least an outlet box (18, 20) is adjusted by controlling at least a counter pressure that is applied on at least a portion of the flow of filtrate. In this respect the dewatering is optimised and the built-up of the fibre web is improved. The present invention also relates to a twin-wire press for carrying out the method.
