摘要： A coin dispenser and numerical register (10) having first, second, third, fourth and fifth numerical wheels (13), (15), (17), (19) and (21) and first, second and third coin receptacles (23), (25) and (27), mounted in a portable housing (11), is described. The first coin receptacle has a sleeve (37) for mounting a plurality of coins (35) while the first numerical wheel is mounted on a shaft (49) with an associated registering gear (51). The first coin receptacle and the first and the second numerical wheels are serviced by a common wire (47). The wire forms a spring (47b) that is disposed in the sleeve of the first coin receptacle for advancing the plurality of coins after an upper most coin is removed from the receptacle. The wire also forms a pawl (47c) in ratchet engagement with the registering gear of the first numerical wheel and an associated registering gear of the second numerical wheel. The pawl allows the wheels to only be easily turned in one direction for registering the indicia in their respective indicia openings in the face plate of the housing. The other coin receptacles and numerical wheels are in similarly cooperative relationships through servicing wires forming springs for the coin receptacles and pawls for the gears of the wheels. The housing is adapted to be mounted on a sun visor in an automobile with a mounting clip (75).

摘要： A coin sorter and dispenser includes side-by-side vertical coin chambers for sorted coins. The stacks of coins are supported on respective friction wheels which are exposed at the bottom so that a user may engage the bottom of a selected wheel and rotate it so that the top of the wheel slides the lowermost coin in a stack through an exit clearance to drop into the hand of the user. The friction wheels engage the stacks near the front edge and the rear edge of the stack is supported on sloping ramps to ensure that the lowermost coin slides forwardly through the clearance. Coins are fed through a top slot to be size sorted into the respective chambers. The sorter is formed of injection molded snap together front and back parts with a snap-on cover plate over the slightly inclined upper sorting portion of the front part. The front part is transparent so the number of coins in each chamber may be seen. When the front and rear parts snap together they capture along the front lower edge a shaft on which the friction wheels are mounted for rotation. The rear of the back part may be provided with a magnetic pad or tape so that the coin sorter and dispenser may be mounted on a refrigerator door or wall at a convenient height.

摘要： A dispensing holder for discs (such as coins) comprises a middle plate and two face plates. Each middle plate and face plate define between them disc-receiving slots having mouths open to the edge of the holder. Each slot is bordered on one side by a finger spring on the middle plate, and on the other side by a face hole in the face plate. Manual depression of the finger spring by pressing on a disc through the appropriate face hole allows the disc to be slid out through the mouth of the slot.

摘要： A combined coin sorting and dispensing apparatus for motor vehicles which may be mounted in or integrally formed with the dashboard, console, or an existing interior door or side panel, or placed in an existing pocket of the vehicle. The coin sorter has a hopper with a coin slot, a coin sorter plate, a coin holder support, and a plurality of coin holders. In operation, coins placed in the hopper pass through the coin slot, and fall onto an inclined sorter plate which sorts the coins into the coin holders. The motion of the motor vehicle as it is being driven assists in moving the coins through the hopper, down the coin slot, and down the sorter plate. The sorted coins are stored in the coin holders until needed at which time they are manually or automatically dispensed from the holders. Methods for sorting the coins using the disclosed combined coin sorting and dispensing apparatus are also disclosed.
