摘要： Disclosed herein are embodiments of batch-style bottom-discharge rotary debarkers for removing bark from a batch of logs in a bin and discharging debarked logs from a bottom of the bin. In some embodiments, the bin includes four walls and an opening in its bottom. In some embodiments, the debarkers include a plurality of rotors, a plurality of chutes, and a plurality of conveyor belt systems for carrying bark and logs away from the bin. In some embodiments, the debarkers include an internal gate which can be moved between a debarking configuration and an unloading configuration.

The fastener is configurable to pass through the first opening and to cooperate with the first projection and with the holding body to hold the first projection in the first recess in a close surrounding fit.

摘要： An improved debarking apparatus, which includes a substantially, cylindrically shaped debarker head having a plurality of cutting blades to form its out peripheral surface, the debarker head mounted on a central shaft so that it may rotate freely on the shaft during the debarking process. In a first embodiment, the improved assembly would incorporate a pair of depth control bearing collars, mountable on an existing pillow block bearing, the bearing collar incorporating an adjustable shoe which includes an arcuate lower surface for making contact with the bark of the log that is being debarked, so as to select the precise depth of cut into the bark by the cutting blades of the debarker head. A second embodiment would provide a depth control bearing assembly which would be utilized in place of the pillow block bearing, the assembly including a roller bearing insert on each end of the debarker head, with the insert engaged upon the rotatable shaft, for accommodating a depth control bearing on the insert, with the depth control bearing likewise incorporating an adjustable shoe member on the lower portion of each of the bearing housings, the adjustable shoe including the arcuate lower surface for making contact with the bark of the log that is being debarked. The adjustable shoe would include an upper main body portion, having a pair of elongated slots therein so as to accommodate a pair of mounting screws between the adjustable shoe and the bearing collar.

摘要： A wood processing machine includes a cylindrical cutter assembly having a plurality of adjacent disks, each holding one or more cutting blades. The cutting blades are mounted in indentations in the disks. The solid character of the cylindrical structure thus formed can be smaller than prior drum-type wood processors because the individual disks are stronger than the thin plate of a drum. The novel disk construction is shown utilized in a wood chipping apparatus and in a wood flaking apparatus.

摘要： A barking machine has a container for processing logs formed with openings each extended lengthwise of the container, a transfer guide plate disposed between the openings, multiple notches formed in the openings, lower and side cylindrical rotators each having protruding barking blades on its outer periphery which pass through the notches, and a supporting member for retaining the transfer guide plate. In such a construction, the rotors are partially inserted into the openings, respectively. The lower rotor rotates so that its barking blades move toward the side opening, and the side rotor rotates so that its blades move upwardly. With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent the logs from being blocked between the rotators or falling from therebetween, and to provide a strengthened transfer guide plate with no deformation, thereby enhancing the circulating of logs in the container and the barking operation.
