A driver (176) associated with the kernel space (154) is operable to distribute the at least one packet (194) to a subset of the plurality of clients (158, 160, 162, 164) in response to receiving the number of software interrupts (204). The number of software interrupts (204) is less than one software interrupt per packet per client.

摘要： A system and method is provided for a distributed computing system where a user can login to a client computer and access a number of different applications installed on web servers. These applications are then provided access to data in mainframe systems without a user having to enter mainframe user id or password information for gaining access to the mainframe system. The system and method can utilize a sign on object which is installed onto the client computer. The sign on object operates to obtain and transmit a security token which authorizes access to the mainframe system, and the security token does not require the use of the cookie data. This system and method can pass the security token through the web server and the web application in an encrypted form which limits security risks.

摘要： A method and apparatus delays users from accessing a service via the world wide web in an orderly manner without maintaining a queue. When a user requests the service, if the service is busy, a web server does not allow access to the service: instead it configures the user's web browser via a script or applet to periodically retry requesting the service. A timestamp designating a time the user requested the service or other similar time is provided to the user and a count of timestamps issued in different periods are maintained by the web server. The web server periodically determines a cutoff timestamp corresponding to an available capacity of the apparatus using the count of timestamps it maintains. When the user retries requesting the service, the browser provides to the web server the timestamp it received from the server. If the timestamp provided is less than or equal to the cutoff timestamp, the user is allowed access to the service, otherwise, the users browser is instructed to retry at a specified interval.

The system and method herein provide individual account holders with a single report which provides the individual with financial account information, and financial planning advice, utilizing data available in a data storage system. Thus, the individual need not seek out advice, rather it is proactively delivered to the individual. Further, the method and system can provide for periodically generating the integrated report without requiring periodic input or action on the part of the account holder.
