摘要： A method and apparatus for the manufacture of bristle products, such as paintbrushes, brushes, brooms and the like, which comprise a bristle carrier and bristle bundles fixed thereto. The bristles are drawn from a continuous strand on a storage reel and pass through a mould, so that the strand is given a random cross-sectional shape. Downstream of the mould, the reshaped continuous strands are fixed to a bristle carrier and then bristles are cut to the desired length, so that the bristle bundles can be given different shapes and the bristle material can be continuously processed from the reel. The cross-sectional shape of the individual bristle bundles can be adapted to the particular intended use.

摘要： In a method for connecting bristles to a bristle carrier, each of which is made of thermoplastic material, at least the ends of the bristles are heated so that a reversal of the molecules from an oriented stretched form to a non-oriented balled form takes place and thereby forms a thickening on the bristle ends, upon which the bristles with their thickened ends are inserted into the melted bristle carrier until the melt of the carrier flows behind the thickened end whereby after hardening of the melt an interlocking shape connection is obtained between the bristles and the bristle carrier which joint may also include, in the case of corresponding work material pairs, a material bonding, the interlocking shape connection being independent of the type of materials used for the two parts.

摘要： A handle mounting for cleaning implements (brooms, scrubbers, squeegees or the like) comprises a forked connecting member whose fork arms are at one end securable to the head of the cleaning implement and at the other end, interconnected by a crosspiece, are inserted into one end of a tubular metal stem forming the handle or a portion thereof. The connecting member is secured in the stem by deformation of the latter between the two arms of the fork until the tube wall forms two layers, also by welding. The inserted parts of the fork arms, beyond the deformed end of the tube, are bent so as to bear on opposite faces of the tube wall. A cranked arrangement of the outer ends of the fork arms, for engagement with the cleaning implement, are described.
