Abstract:
A device for welding thermoplastic tubes to a welding method, and to a welding knife. The device is provided for welding thermoplastic tubes, wherein the tubes are placed into tube holders and squeezed with the aid of tube clamps. A welding knife is moved between the first and the second tube holder and severs the tubes in the process. Cut ends and residual ends are thereby produced. The cut ends are aligned with one another by a relative movement of one tube holder with respect to the other tube holder and, by a horizontal movement of the two tube holders, are welded simultaneously to form continuous tubes.
Abstract:
An apparatus for manufacturing a bagged electrode includes a conveying unit, a first bonding unit, a second bonding unit, and a separating unit. The conveying unit conveys an electrode in a manner interposed between a pair of long separator materials unwound from a pair of rolls. The first bonding unit bonds the pair of long separator materials outside the electrode along a conveyance direction without stopping conveyance of the electrode and the pair of long separator materials. The second bonding unit bonds the pair of long separator materials outside the electrode along a direction intersecting the conveyance direction without stopping conveyance of the electrode and the pair of long separator materials. The separating unit cuts the pair of long separator materials along the direction intersecting the conveyance direction to cut off the bagged electrode without stopping conveyance of the electrode and the pair of long separator materials.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for assembling a first and a second part of a lighting device for a vehicle by mirror welding, including a step of supplying the parts wherein each part comprises, in the interface area thereof for contact with the other part, a weld bead intended to come into contact against the weld bead of the other part during the mirror welding, the weld bead of at least one of the parts is provided with a plurality of expander ribs (N) spread out along the weld bead, in such a way as to locally expand the width of the weld bead.
Abstract:
A belt splicer includes a pair of decks, each configured to hold a belt end. At least one of the decks is movable along a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the belt ends to impart a shearing force at the at least partially molten interface between the belt ends. The movement of at least one of the at least partially molten mating edges generally parallel to the interface facilitates formation of an improved joint between the belt ends.
Abstract:
A belt cutting and splicing apparatus is provided for joining together the ends of one or more monolithic conveyor belts. In one form, a belt support is configured to support the belt ends in spaced relation to each other and a non-contact heating device is provided for being disposed between the belt ends to generate thermal radiation for joining the belt ends together. In another form, a drive mechanism is operable to cause relative movement of a pair of platens, for supporting belt ends, toward and away from each other and a heating device between heating and stowed positions. An actuator of the drive mechanism is movable by an operator between at least three operation positions corresponding to three different operation positions of the platens. An on-board belt cutting mechanism is provided for precision cutting of the belt ends using the same apparatus for both belt cutting and splicing operations.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an apparatus wherein each pair of jaws (42) is mounted on a carriage (29, 31) freely mobile on longitudinal slide rails and subjected to the action of springs (28, 32) pushing them towards a retractable stop borne by the frame of the other carriage, while the frame (1) of one of the carriages (29) is itself mounted sliding on transverse slide rails (8) and is coupled to drive means (10) capable of moving it on said rails (8) between an initial position, wherein the pairs of jaws (42, 43) are aligned, and a connecting position, wherein the pairs of jaws are offset and the retractable stops retracted, and the hot blade is borne by a carriage vertically mobile, in both directions, on vertical slide rails (20), said carriage (27) having the shape of a wedge whereof the two lateral sides are profiled and co-operate each, after the retractable stops are retracted and while the blade (27) is being raised, with a roller having a horizontal axis projecting rearward of the corresponding frame or jaw-bearing carriage, to control the travel and the abutting efforts of the tube to be connected.
Abstract:
A tube clamp apparatus and a tube connecting apparatus having high durability and improved operability when an operator locks these apparatuses are provided. A tube connecting apparatus comprises a first clamp and a second clamp, each pressing to hold two flexible tubes 8, 9. The tubes are placed at a lower jaw portion of the second clamp and pressed to a flat state by pressing force applied thereto a direction of an arrow A. A hook section 310 having hook portions divided into plural pieces is set up at an upper jaw portion of the second clamp, and the hook portion B 312 is made of a POM elastic member having, on one side thereof, a protruded portion 314 protruded from other adjacent hook portions. When pressing force is applied to the upper jaw portion, the hook portion B 312 protruded from the other adjacent hook portions is elastically deformed and engaged with a POM-made roller B 317 to prevent back-tracking of the hook section 310.
Abstract:
A plastic pallet assembly is formed from plastic lumber by melting sections of runners and cross members and contacting them to join said runners and said cross members to form a pallet. A machine having an assembly table, cross members for supporting and moving pallet runners in a vertical direction, a support table for a pallet cross member, hot plates moveable in a vertical direction and in a horizontal direction for insertion between the runners and the cross member, and a force bar moveable in a vertical direction for applying a force to the runners, hot plates and cross member. A process for producing a plastic lumber pallet in which the runners are placed on a support bar and raised in a vertical direction, a cross member is placed on a support table, hot plates are inserted between the runners and cross member, pressure is applied by means of a force bar and a portion of the runners and cross member is melted after which the hot plate is withdrawn by raising the runners and hot plate and the molten section of the runners and cross member are brought in contact to join the runners and cross member.
Abstract:
A tube connecting apparatus for grasping and heating to melt and alternately connect the cut ends of a plurality of tubes is disclosed. A first tube holder and a second tube holder for grasping the tubes are provided with a pair of clamps having holding portions for holding a plurality of tubes; each of the pair of clamps being moved into contact with, and away from, each other. One or both of the holding portions of the first tube holder and the second tube holder are formed of semi-circular separatable members and having a symmetry of rotation in relation to the center of the rotating axis, and have a grasping means for moving into contact with, and away from, the pair of clamps and have a rotating means for rotating the semi-circular holding portions of one or both of the first tube holder and the second tube holder.
