Abstract: A rivet assembly having improved mechanical and aesthetic qualities to secure suction cups to a functional member, such as a hook. The rivet assembly comprises a head portion and a base portion. The base portion is integrally formed with the suction cup and comprises an annular, outwardly projecting post which couples with a corresponding hollow and annular receiving portion located on the underside of the rivet head.
