Abstract: A rod or wire having discontinuous cross sections and implements made from such rod or wire are disclosed. The perimeters of the cross section of the rod or wire are not circumferences nor rectangles nor squares, and have either at least two curves going in different directions, curves and straight lines, or straight lines going in different directions—but in the latter case not being regular polygons.
