    摘要: A television tuner includes an unbalanced output type VHF-side block, a balanced output type UHF-side block, and a mixing circuit that performs frequency conversion on the output from the VHF-side block or the UHF-side block. In the television tuner, in a first mode where the VHF-side block is connected to the mixing circuit, a first terminal, to which the unbalanced output is applied, is coupled to a first input terminal of the mixing circuit, and a second input terminal of the mixing circuit is grounded. Further, in a second mode where the UHF-side block is connected to the mixing circuit, a second terminal and a third terminal, to which the balanced output is applied, are coupled to the first and second input terminals of the mixing circuit.

    摘要: The invention provides a variable tuning circuit capable of extending a variable range in a high frequency band, ensuring the value of L of an inductor to increase the value of Q of a circuit in a low frequency band, and preventing a reduction in gain, an increase in noise, and unstable oscillation.A variable tuning circuit includes: a first parallel resonance circuit that includes a varactor diode, a capacitor connected in series to the varactor diode, and a first inductor connected in parallel to the varactor diode and the capacitor; and a second parallel resonance circuit that includes a second inductor connected in parallel to the varactor diode with a direct current cut-off capacitor interposed therebetween. When the varactor diode has a maximum capacitance, a resonant frequency of the second parallel resonance circuit is set about a lowest frequency in a variable frequency range.

By the on/off operation of the switch diodes D1 and D2, at a reception of UHF/VHF high band, a HPF for suppressing a signal in a low band side to a reception frequency is formed, and at a reception of VHF low band, a LPF that suppresses a signal in a high band side to a reception frequency is formed.

    摘要: A television tuner includes: low band and high-band receiving units; a mixer that frequency-converts low-band television signals from the low-band receiving unit or high-band television signals from the high-band receiving unit; first and second switching diodes that couple the low-band or high-band receiving unit and the mixer to each other, respectively; and a transistor which applies a bias voltage to one end of each of the switching diodes. The emitter of the transistor is grounded and the collector is pulled up to a power supply through a resistor. ON/OFF of the switching diodes are switched to be opposite to each other. The other end of each of the switching diodes is connected to the collector through a first inductance element. The collector of the transistor is connected to one end of a second inductance element, and the other end of the second inductance element is grounded in a high-frequency manner.

    摘要: In a wiring configuration for a semiconductor component, an unused terminal is insulated from a third land via an insulating film, and thus no connecting member (solder) is required for the unused terminal. With this, the third land is not accidentally removed from a circuit board during exchange of the semiconductor component, and the number of defective circuit boards can be reduced. Moreover, the third land for the unused terminal is included in a wiring pattern due to the connection thereof to other lands or other traces for signals and for grounding with a connecting trace. Thus, the widths of lines can be increased, and furthermore, the insusceptibility of transmission lines in high-frequency circuits to noise can be increased.
