摘要： A printing apparatus with a text memory which is capable of correcting a data stored in a text memory wthout using a display mechanism is disclosed.When a first write control means receives a memory print command during printing of the text memory data by a printing mechanism, data read from the text memory is written into a correction memory. A correction control means erases data commanded to be erased from the correction memory and stores the corrected data therein.When a second write control means receives a command to release memory print stop, data of the correction memory, that is, data including the corrected data are written into the text memory.

摘要： The present electronic typewriter executes a spelling check control and, more specifically, judges whether or not a word in a dictionary memory identical to an inputted word exists. If a word does not exists, the word printing operation or sweep display of this word is automatically interrupted by a central processing unit. The present invention further provides an electronic typewriter wherein the operator is freed of the spelling check task and high-speed key-in operation can be achieved by preventing misspelled words from being printed.

摘要： An electronic typewriter, comprising: (a) a keyboard (2) generating a signal corresponding to a depressed key and comprising at least a plurality of character keys (5) for inputting character data, a space key (4) for separating said character data into words and a release key (6), a dictionary memory (12) for storing a plurality of words, a working memory (13) for sequentially storing said plurality of words, a spelling check control means (11) for reading out word data from said dictionary memory (12) as well as said plurality of words inputted via said keyboard, comparing the spelling of said words with said word data, and judging whether or not the spelling of said words is correct, means for disabling said spelling check control means (11), said means disabling said spelling check control means (11) only for a first word inputted after the depression of said release key (6) of said keyboard (2), and visible outputting means (8), (9) for outputting input data visibly.

摘要： An electronic typewriter with data storage and editing capability having a keyboard for entering printing data including character data representative of a text, a text memory for storing the character data from the keyboard, and a printing assembly for printing the stored text according to the printing data. The typewriter comprises a first control device for printing all lines of characters of the text stored in the text memory, a designating device for designating in an editing mode a group of character data corresponding to a desired line of characters of the stored text, a second control device for printing only the desired single line of characters designated by the designating device, and a third control device for printing the designated and all subsequent lines of the stored text.

摘要： An electronic typewriter provided with a display unit giving visual display of data in a number of positions of characters shorter in length than one line of characters printed on a sheet of paper which includes a cursor for indicating the next following position of data input. The cursor may be shifted out of the display unit when necessary, and when the data imputted to the last position in the display unit is dead key data, the position of the dead key data is indicated by the cursor, so that the display unit can display data greater by one character than display units of the prior art.

摘要： An electronic typewriter has a vertical tab key for printing one continuous vertical line, extending in a plurality of printing lines. By operating the vertical tab key, a control unit detects a set paper feed amount and feeds the paper reversely to a position whereat printing of a vertical line is done, in alignment with a vertical line printed in a previous printing line, thereby to print a continuous vertical line. The paper is fed forwards by an amount less than the unit length of vertical line which can be an amount less than a unit length of the vertical line as one character, and then the vertical line is printed. Such operations are repeated so that one vertical line continues from the vertical line of the previous printing line to the present printing line.
