The anvil clamps a tissue structure between the anvil surface and the mating surface when in the second position, and wherein the mating surface has a different radius of curvature than the anvil surface.

摘要： A surgical device is provided including a shaft having a lumen and an opening disposed at a distal end, the shaft movable between a rear position and a forward position. An anvil is slidingly disposed in the opening between open and closed positions to capture tissue within the opening. The device also includes at least one electrode for applying RF energy to the tissue captured in the opening and an actuator operatively connected to the shaft for moving the shaft between the rear position and the forward position.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for applying adhesive to an outer circumference of a section of tubing. The apparatus includes opposed grippers with concave adhesive transfer areas that can be moved into surrounding relationship with the tubing. Adhesive dispensing passages communicate with the adhesive transfer areas for delivering adhesive to the tubing. Counterbores are at opposed ends of the adhesive transfer areas and communicate with a vacuum source for removing excess adhesive.

摘要： A dynamoelectric machine includes a stator having teeth fabricated from a non-magnetic material and containing at least one embedded conductor. The teeth are unitary with a back portion that is mounted to a stator back iron. Permeance variations induced by a stator winding mounted on the non-magnetic stator teeth are low which facilitates a reduction of motor noise. Specifically, since the non-magnetic teeth reduce production of permeance variations, changes in air gap forces between the rotor and the stator are decreased.
