    摘要: A method for establishing an authenticated network connection in a packet-switched network with an electronic equipment, the method including transmitting a request from an electronic equipment through a packet-switched network connection to an authentication server. The authentication server generates a first unique identifier and transmits the first unique identifier to the electronic equipment through the packet-switched network connection. The electronic then transmits a message from the electronic equipment to a short message service (SMS) server through a circuit-switched network connection, wherein the message includes the first unique identifier and a second unique identifier (e.g., a telephone number of the electronic device). The message is routed to the authentication server and authenticated. After authentication, the electronic equipment may utilize a packet-switched connection for a variety of communication services (e.g., chat sessions, voice over Internet Protocol) with other authenticated electronic equipment.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an arrangement and a method for flow control of data packets in a communications system supporting communication of packet data. The arrangement comprises classifying means (1) for, by means of a number of parameters defining a number of data packet subflows, whereby each received packet belongs to one of the subflows. For each received data packet, an individual packet holding time is given by the size of the data packet and by the (desired) bandwidth of the subflow to which the packet belongs. It further comprises first queueing means (2) comprising one subflow queue (SFQ) for each subflow, such that received data packets are placed in the appropriate subflow queue, and one or more second queueing means (3), each comprising a circular timeslot array register, wherein for each timeslot a timeslot queue (TSQ) is provided. Data packets from the subflow queues are placed in the appropriate time slot queues in relation to a current time slot queue, the packets in which, if any, currently being output, such that the data packet holding times can be observed.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for labeling an image recorded by a portable electronic device with descriptive tags is disclosed. Sounds in the vicinity of the portable electronic device are recorded. When the image is captured, the audio record of recorded sounds from a first predetermined period of time prior to the capture of the image until a second predetermined period of time after the capture of the image is retrieved. The retrieved audio record is processed to create a list of recognizable words in the retrieved audio record. The list of recognizable words is then stored in a metatag field associated with the captured image.

The method may include: sending a request to the second device over a setup radio communication network IP connection, requesting a point-to-point identity associated with the second device; obtaining from the second device, a point-to-point identity associated with the second device over the radio communication network IP connection; sending a query to the third device, requesting if it is associated with the obtained point-to-point identity obtained from the second device, by using said point-to-point radio technology; receiving a message comprising information that the second device is retrieved and information how to retrieve the second device; and changing the setup IP connection to a point-to-point IP connection.

    摘要: Methods and systems for transmitting attachments to text messages without turning terminals into e-mail clients are described. When an attachment is to be transmitted, an address of an attachment server is appended to the text message. The text message is then forwarded to the intended recipient, e.g., via an SMS server, while the attachment is sent to the attachment server. Upon receipt of the text message, the recipient can then download the attachment from the attachment server using the address included in the text message.
