Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enhance the security of UWB ranging, thereby improving the accuracy and reliability of the UWB ranging. In one aspect, a first wireless device embeds first information for generating a secure sequence of a ranging message in a payload section of the ranging message. The first wireless device generates the secure sequence based at least in part on the first information. The first wireless device transmits the ranging message including the secure sequence and the payload section for a second wireless device. In another aspect, a second wireless device receives a ranging message from a first wireless device that includes a first secure sequence and a payload section. The second wireless device generates a second secure sequence based on information embedded in the payload section of the ranging message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a base station may support a flexible cell with a set of carriers including an anchor carrier and two or more non-anchor carriers. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may select, from among the set of carriers and based on receiving an indication of the configuration, a carrier for transmission of a request for system information associated with the flexible cell. The UE may transmit the request for system information to the base station via the selected carrier. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may select a carrier for reception by the UE of an acknowledgement for the request for the system information, and the UE may receive the acknowledgement for the request for system information via the selected carrier.

A user equipment (UE) may select a non-Discrete Fourier Transform (non-DFT) codebook of a set of non-DFT codebooks associated with a channel state feedback message. The UE may determine a set of singular vectors associated with the non-DFT codebook based on a first machine learning model, where the set of singular vectors corresponds to a subspace associated with the non-DFT codebook. The UE may compress the non-DFT codebook, the set of singular vectors, or both, based on a second machine learning model. The UE may transmit the channel state feedback message including the compressed non-DFT codebook, the compressed set of singular vectors, or both.

The UE may receive a message indicating at least a first resource set associated with one or more first beams from the plurality of beams and a second resource set associated with one or more second beams from the plurality of beams. The UE may transmit a report indicative of a level of correlation between pairs of individual beams, each pair including a first individual beam of the one or more first beams and a second individual beam of the one or more second beams, and the UE may communicate with the base station via a selected beam of the one or more first beams or the one or more second beams.
