摘要: Thin film encapsulation devices and methods for MEMS devices and packaging are provided. For a MEMS device encapsulated by a sacrificial layer, a lid layer can be deposited over the MEMS device without touching the MEMS device. The lid layer can be patterned and etched with a distribution of release etch holes, which provide access to the sacrificial layer encapsulating the MEMS device. The sacrificial material can be removed through the release etch holes, and the release etch holes can be filled with a seal layer. The seal layer can be removed from the substrate except where it seals the etch holes, leaving a series of plugs that can prevent other materials from entering the MEMS device cavity. In addition, a seal metal layer can be deposited and patterned so that it covers and encloses the plugged etch holes, and a barrier layer can cover the entire encapsulation structure.

摘要: Supporting multiple graphics processing units (GPUs) comprises a first path coupled to a north bridge device (or a root complex device) and a first GPU, which may include a portion of the first GPU's total communication lanes. A second communication path may be coupled to the north bridge device and a second GPU and may include a portion of the second GPU's total communication lanes. A third communication path may be coupled between the first and second GPUs directly or through one or more switches that can be configured for single or multiple GPU operations. The third communication path may include some or all of the remaining communication lanes for the first and second GPUs. As a nonlimiting example, the first and second GPUs may each utilize an 8-lane PCI express communication path with the north bridge device and an 8-lane PCI express communication path with each other.

摘要: A stereoscopic display and record component, more specifically a dual polarizing light filter, and the methods of applying the component for stereoscopic image displaying and stereoscopic image recording, are disclosed. A dual polarizing light filter may be statically or dynamically controlled to deliver or accept polarizing light of different orientations at different micro regions on the filter at different times. The invention may be used to create a new type display device and a new type of recording method for both 2-D and 3-D images. The component may be added to existing displays as well as integrated into the display fabrication process.
