摘要： A submersible drive unit for propelling a scuba diver through water. The propulsion device comprises a shrouded propeller which is removably and adjustably attached to the diver's air tank. Removably attached to the propeller shroud is a waterproof motor housing for encasing a motor to drive the propeller. Batteries for driving the motor are enclosed within two kidney-shaped cases, one located on each side of a conventional diver's weight belt. A hand grip having at least one switch is used to activate/deactivate the unit as well as to control the speed.

The search structure is configurable in hardware to different cache line sizes and different primary and secondary index sizes. The lower stresses are achieved due to an undercut region proximate the blade trailing edge being placed in the platform. The undercut region has a compound fillet radius formed from two single and tangent radii where the first radius closer to the airfoil is larger than the second radius such that a ratio of R1/R2 is approximately 2.0 to 2.5.

摘要： A composite wood product and its method of manufacture. The wood product comprises aligned, substantially straight wood strands cut from veneer, disposed side by side lengthwise in substantially parallel relationship with adhesive bonding together the strands. The product is produced in a billet having a width in the range of about 3 ft. to 12 ft. and with a thickness in the range of about 1.1 inches to 2 inches. The strand ends are distributed in a specific pattern that approximates maximizing the minimum distance between strand ends. The wide sides of the billet are coated with a dark colored resin. The billet may be sawn lengthwise into sizes used for joists and rafters. Such a sawn product (e.g. 1.5″ by 9.25″) has the wide sides a dark resin color and the narrow sawn sides mostly wood colored. The strands are parallel to its length.

摘要： Various methods, compounds and apparatus for the detection of analytes are provided. In one aspect, the direct oxidation of an alcohol is detected electrochemically. In another aspect, a reaction of an analyte is detected, wherein the reaction is catalysed by an enzyme and a cofactor, and wherein the cofactor comprises a moiety which is capable of acting as an electron mediator. In a further aspect, a chiral analyte is detected by resolving a enantiomeric mixture of the analyte and subsequently detecting at least one of the resolved enantiomers electrochemically. The invention is particularly relevant to the detection of alcohols, especially chiral alcohols.
