摘要: Systems, methods and apparatuses for delivering therapeutic fluid to the body of a patient are disclosed. The apparatus includes a dispensing unit having a driving mechanism, a pumping mechanism, a reservoir containing therapeutic fluid, and an outlet port. The driving mechanism causes the pumping mechanism to positively displace therapeutic fluid within the reservoir for delivery of therapeutic fluid to the body of the patient via the outlet port.

摘要: A device for the dosed dispensing of a medium (e.g., therapeutic and/or diagnostic agent) for an insulin pump is proposed. The device comprises a transporting and transferring container, a measuring element, and an adjusting element for influencing a dispensing of the medium by way of a connection to an interior space. The transporting and transferring container has a reservoir for receiving the medium. The reservoir is closed by a displaceable element. The displaceable element is movably mounted in relation to the reservoir. A relative positioning of the displaceable element in relation to the reservoir determines the interior space of the reservoir available for receiving the medium. The measuring element senses the relative positioning of the displaceable element in relation to the reservoir. The measuring element and the adjusting element interact so that the dispensing of the medium is influenced by the relative positioning sensed by the measuring element.

摘要: Methods are disclosed for measuring an analyte concentration in a fluidic sample. Such methods allow one to correct and/or compensate for confounding variables such as hematocrit, salt concentration and/or temperature before providing an analyte concentration. The measurement methods use response information from a test sequence having at least one DC block, where DC block includes at least one excitation pulse and at least one recovery pulse, and where a closed circuit condition of an electrode system is maintained during the at least one recovery pulse. Information encoded in the excitation and recovery pulses are used to build within- and across-pulse descriptors to correct/compensate for hematocrit, salt concentration and/or temperature effects on the analyte concentration. Methods of transforming current response data also are disclosed. Further disclosed are devices, apparatuses and systems incorporating the various measurement methods.

摘要: Disclosed is a supervision device (9) for supervising liquid drug flow in a flow channel (20). The supervision device (9) includes a flow detector (1), arranged for operatively coupling with the flow channel (20) and generating a flow detector signal in dependence of a flow in the flow channel (20) at a flow detection location. The supervision device (9) further includes a gas detector (8), arranged for operatively coupling with the flow channel (20) and generating a gas detector signal in dependence of whether liquid drug or gas is present in the flow channel (20) at a gas detection location at a distance upstream from the flow detection location. The supervision device (9) further includes a processing unit (90) in operative coupling with the flow detector (1) and the gas detector (8), wherein the processing unit (90) is configured to determine, based on a the gas detector signal, whether non-flowing liquid drug is present at the flow detection location or a gas bubble passes the flow detector if the flow detector signal does not indicate a liquid drug flow.

摘要: In one form, a diagnostic element for determining at least one analyte is provided. In a further form, an analytical measuring device includes the diagnostic element. Still, other forms are related to methods for the determination of an analyte, correcting a signal generated by an analyte, and/or checking the detection optics of an analytical measuring device using the diagnostic element. Another form is related to a system for the controlled release of a reagent and the use of such a system as a circuit element. Other aspects include, but are not limited to, unique methods, techniques, products, systems and devices involving diagnostic elements.
