摘要： A device for step-feeding golf balls one at a time over a tee located beneath a ground play surface, and for reciprocating the tee (and associated golf ball) vertically through an aperture made in the ground play surface. The striking height of the tee is adjustable with a control lever. At the selected upper limit position of the tee, the ball can be struck by a golf club, whereby the resilient tee will swing laterally under the impact blow before returning to its initial upright position. The ground surface edge surrounding the tee passage aperture carries a downturned arcuate lip, defining a generally funnel shape configuration. Hence, during lateral sway of the resilient tee after club impact, the tee body will smoothly conform to the arcuate shape of the lip, without contacting the platform bore edge, before returning to its original upright orientation. This in effect substantially reduces the occurrence of shearing damage about the rubber tee.

摘要： An automatic golf ball dispenser dispenses golf balls to a tee for driving or directly to a mat for iron shots. The dispenser includes a breakaway captive setting arm that sustains minimal damage when hit by a club. The dispenser also includes a series of baffles and means for rotating stored golf balls to prevent clogging. A stopper retards balls in a supply chute while one ball is being teed, and while a setting arm is being returned to a ball-receiving position. This avoids interference with setting arm movement by the supply of balls. In addition, an automatic countdown sequence regulates the number of balls dispensed in accordance with a card reader that checks prepaid user cards.

摘要： An improved golf-ball dispenser provides the dual purpose of supplying a single file of golf balls to a teeing device and providing an independent golf-ball dispenser. The dispenser automatically feeds golf balls in single file at an exit end of the dispenser after a multitude of golf balls have been dumped into the container. This is accomplished by gravity produced by sides (15) which slope toward the center near the exit end (13) and also by the downward slope toward the exit end (13) and from the back (23) of the dispenser. There is a gradual reduction in width of the opening toward the exit end (13). A guide channel (12) is positioned within the enclosure so as to receive a single file of golf balls at the proper moment to prevent overlapping, hangups, or errant golf balls from leaving the guide track (12). The golf ball dispenser is used by the golfer for more convenience in putting, chipping, pitching, or driving practice.

摘要： A lightweight, manually portable apparatus includes an adjustable, horizontally disposed base having a vertically rising, and partially transparent ball storage housing affixed thereto. The storage housing is internally baffled to store a number of balls in a zigzagging, vertically rising single column. A pivotally attached ball selector is positioned adjacent a ball dispensing aperture of the storage housing. The selector will allow the separation of one ball at a time from the single column of stored balls. After selection, the selected ball rolls downhill and leaves the storage housing to come to rest against a first end of an elongated pivotally attached vertical delivery chute. The delivery chute pivots downward under the weight of the ball resting thereon. The ball rolls downhill toward a second end of the chute and drops through an aperture in the delivery chute to be deposited onto a playing surface. A counterweight attached to the first end of the chute causes the chute to pivot back to a vertical position after setting the ball. The delivery chute is disengagable when struck by a golf club, and the selector is specifically structured to maintain the stored balls within the storage housing with the delivery chute disengaged from the apparatus.

摘要： A golf ball dispenser and tee apparatus includes a cylindrical hopper for carrying a plurality of golf balls, a rotatable disc mounted in the hopper above the floor thereof with a plurality of holes, a cover for covering one of the holes when the hole is aligned with an opening in the floor of the hopper, so that the golf balls are discharged one at a time into an inclined tube, a motor for rotating the disc in the hopper, a coin operated switch for initiating operation of the motor, a gripper mounted on a slide at the end of the inclined tube for gripping a golf ball when actuated by a switch which is operated by the head of a club, and a second motor for moving the slide with the gripper outwardly to a position where the ball is deposited on a tee, and returning the slide and gripper to the rest position for gripping another ball. The gripper is operated by a solenoid and operation of the slide motor is achieved by microswitches.

摘要： An apparatus for semiautomatically teeing up golf balls utilizing very low air pressure as an operating medium. Balls are loaded onto a contoured dish at the upper end of an open ended upright cylinder and pass from the dish into a flexible tube wrapped helically around the outside of the cylinder. The lower end of the tube is blocked by a ball dispenser. When a user trips a lever on the ball dispenser, one ball is permitted to roll to a stop above a hole in the hitting mat directly above the air operated teeing device. The teeing device includes a teeing tube attached vertically above an expandable chamber and extending just to the top surface of the hitting mat. A very low pressure stream of air constantly flows through the chamber and escapes via the teeing tube. When a golf ball comes to rest above the teeing tube, the escape of air is terminated, causing the expandable chamber to fill, thereby raising the teeing tube and the ball to the teed height. When the golf ball is struck from the teeing tube, the air again escapes from the expandable chamber, causing the teeing tube to recede into the hole in the hitting mat ready for the next ball to be teed.

摘要： The golf practice driving apparatus is adapted for individual home use or for use commercially on a driving range. The apparatus has a ball supply container from which the balls are individually fed to a movable ball transfer member that in a first moved position receives a ball, and in a second moved position, delivers the ball to a teed position on a tee member. The tee member is movable between a ball receiving position and a ball driving position and is interconnected with the transfer member by a releasable locking means so that the weight of a ball in a teed position depresses the tee member to release the transfer member for movement from the second position to the first position therefor, wherein the transfer member is locked to receive a ball from the ball container and the teed ball is fully exposed for driving. When the teed ball is driven, the tee member is movable to concurrently release the transfer member for movement to the second position therefor. This movement of the transfer member is provided by the weight of the ball that was received thereon concurrently with the seating on the tee member of the ball to be driven. The transfer member, in moving from the second position to the first position therefor also functions as an actuator to operate a ball holding mechanism to release only a single ball from the ball container to the transfer member. This cycle of operations takes place automatically each time a ball is driven from a teed position on the tee member until the ball container has been emptied.

This structure includes a vertical helical ramp for receiving golf balls which roll theredown in single file. A pivotable feeder arm structure is provided on the base for releasing golf balls one at a time. Contained within the base are means for actuating the feeder arm structure up and down for feeding golf balls one at a time to a golfer to enable the golfer to practice his golf swing. An electrical switch is connected to the actuating means by a cord. It is located remotely from the storage and feeding structure. Actuation of the switch causes the teeing device to go through a cycle and release one golf ball.
