    摘要: The invention is a high-power portable cutting tool which is particularly effective in cutting through sheet metal. The tool can thus be used for extricating accident victims from wreckage. The tool is operated by hydraulic power, and has one movable blade and one stationary blade. The movable blade is curved, and is mounted so as to close onto the stationary blade. The curvature of the movable blade is such that its initial contact with the stationary blade occurs at its free end. The stationary blade is formed on an anvil, anchored within the frame of the tool. The anvil is sufficiently long that its end extends beyond the end of the movable blade. The anvil is anchored within a slot formed in the cover portion of the frame, and is locked into position with a dowel. The mounting of the anvil within the slot is such that the forces exerted on the blade are directed against the heavy cover, and not against the dowel.

    摘要: A portable motor-driven cutter for cutting off a sheet material includes an eccentric shaft rotatably supported by a gear case and a gear cover, an L-shaped driver arm having an upper end rotatably fitted over an eccentric portion of the eccentric shaft, a cutting blade detachably mounted on the lower end of the driver arm, and a scribing blade detachably mounted on a base on which the gear case is mounted. When the eccentric shaft is rotated by a motor, the cutting blade is moved in an eccentric pattern to cut off a sheet material along a straight line scribed by the scribing blade. The cutting blade and the scribing blade are produced from a single break-off disposable cutter blade.

    摘要: A power handle for pivotally interconnected lever tools, such as wire clippers, shears, pliers, snips and cutters, is composed of a portable case with an actuating arm mounted to one side. The arm when depressed actuates a plunger valve whereby a source of compressed gas is released into a pair of bellows each situated between one side of the case and one lever arm of the tool positioned within the case. The bellows fill with the compressed gas and force the lever arms toward each other about their pivot axis, counteracting the force of the torsion spring that normally biases the lever arms apart. Release of the arm closes the plunger valve and allows the rapid escape of the compressed gas trapped in the bellows, whereby the torsion spring reopens the lever arms of the tool.

    摘要: A cutter device for sheet material has a manually guidable cylindrical housing formed with a column at the base of which is supporting wheel means and a fixed blade. A reciprocating or rotary blade cooperates with the fixed blade to cut sheet material. First gear means operatively interconnect the wheel means and movable blade. A generator in the housing operatively connected mechanically to the first gear means is electrically connected to lamp means to illuminate the blades while the wheel means turns and the movable blade is moved. A motor can be provided in the housing to drive the generator, gear means, movable blade and wheel means. The wheel means may include one or two wheels.

    摘要: An electric scissors having a rotary motor for oscillating a pivotal cutting blade to effect a cutting engagement along a small portion thereof with a ledger blade. The ledger blade, which is normally non-movable during the cutting operation, is mounted such that it may be selectively pivoted into engagement with the cutting blade to effect a snip cutting stroke along substantially the entire cutting blade or a portion thereof. Two embodiments are shown for effecting the snip cut. A first embodiment biases the ledger blade in a normally fixed position by a torsion spring which may be compressed to effect a snip by pushing the ledger blade against a table-like surface. The other embodiment disclose a lever arrangement whereby the ledger blade is pivoted to effect a snip by manually squeezing a lever-link against the force of a spring.
