摘要： A light-weight bolt cutter tool includes a pair of opposing pivotally mounted jaws, each made from a fiber-reinforced composite body jacketed by a blade having a hardened metal outer surface oriented to forcibly engage the other one of said jaws. Each jaw can have pair of indentations proving the jaw with an I-beam-type cross-sectional shape. The bolt cutter tool can be actuated by a pair of elongated, hollow fiber resin composite handles. Each handle can include an elastomeric damping plug to prevent debris entering the hollow handle and reduce material fatigue. A quick-deployment, quiver-style backpack can conveniently carry the colt cutters when not in use.

摘要： A sleeve is made up of two halves which in one embodiment are identical. The sleeve includes a channel extending along the length thereof, which is sized to receive a line therein, which line is to be removed from a splice. The sleeve includes a shim on an end thereof which is sized to fit into an end of the splice, with a tip of the shim pushing back jaws of the splice to remove the line from the splice. A casing fits over the sleeve halves to hold them together. This casing includes a first half and the second half which are pivoted together about a pivot joint. The tool including the casing and sleeve halves can slide along the line to allow the tip of the shim to fit into the end of the splice and push back the jaws to release the line.

摘要： A cutting tool having a work piece feed mechanism includes a first jaw and a second jaw connected together for pivotal movement between a closed position and an open position. The work piece feed mechanism includes first and second ratchet members as well as a slide member adapted to engage a work piece and mounted for movement between a fully extended position and a fully retracted position. Movement of the first and second jaws from the closed position to the open position causes the first ratchet member to operably engage the slide member and incrementally advance the slide member toward the fully retracted position.
