摘要： A multi-layer film bag with fusible inner layer has gussets fused to front and rear bag walls. Upper end areas of the gussets are folded over toward one bag wall at a folding line to form folded-over end areas. The folding line is oriented at a slant inwardly and downwardly. The inner side of the folded-over end areas is fused by a first welding seam to an inner side of a neighboring gusset half. The outer side of the folded-over end areas is fused by a second welding seam to a neighboring bag wall. An area of the neighboring gusset half adjoining the folded-over end areas is fused by a third welding seam to a neighboring bag wall. The first, second, and third welding seams form a fused connection closing off the top edges of the folded-over end areas.

摘要： The zipper assembly for a reclosable package or bag includes a zipper with exterior interlocking elements and flanges, and typically includes a slider. Additionally, a hinged secondary zipper formed from interior interlocking elements. A first interior interlocking element is hinged by an interior flange with respect to the first flange while the second interior interlocking element is attached to the second flange. The hinging of the secondary zipper causes forces or loads from within the reclosable package or bag to configure the secondary zipper in a shear configuration, rather than a peeling configuration, thereby increasing the interior burst strength of the package or bag.

A flexible stiffener made of plastic or a similar material is attached along each of these edges. The two stiffeners are connected with a foil hinge at their ends. The bag is furthermore provided with means to bend the stiffeners in a direction opposite to each other. A single operator, without the risk of soiling his or her fingers, can quickly and easily fill the bag.

摘要： A reclosable bag having two spaced-apart flexible closures and external finger guide ridges and/or pressure distribution ridges to facilitate their closure. The ridges lie in a region between the double closures and they extend generally parallel to each other and to the closures when the bag is in an empty and flat state. The pressure distribution ridges improve the finger pressure distribution by moving the applied forces closer to the closure profiles. When used in conjunction with external finger guide ridges, the pressure distribution ridges also improve the bearing surface of the external finger guide ridges with the thumb and forefinger of the person closing the bag.

The package may be part of a storage system that includes stand-off structures adjacent to the valve, a vacuum pump assembly, and a liquid separator assembly coupled to the vacuum pump assembly.
