    摘要： A sun visor for an automotive vehicle, having one main surface in which is defined a recess in which a housing is disposed over which a cover is pivotally mounted. One hinge pin for the cover is placed on the visor body. A second hinge pin for the cover is placed on the cover. A C-shaped strap joins the hinge pins. Each end region of the strap has two detent recesses. A respective spring biased locking element at each end region engages in one or the other respective recess at the end region to hold the strap to pivot between two detented positions. This holds the cover and also permits the cover to pivot between detented positions, which enables the cover to be held closed against the one main surface, outwardly projecting from that surface or fully opened orientation at that surface. Details of both spring arrangements for cooperating with the detent recesses are disclosed. The side of the cover exposed at a fully open orientation carries a mirror.

    摘要： A butt hinge has a pair of tapered leaves connected together by a removable pivot pin, an outer leaf having tubular portions at each end thereof for reception of the pivot pin, and having a central cut out area for reception of an inner leaf having an inner tubular portion for the pivot pin. Locating ribs are provided on opposite sides of the tubular portions, and together with central locating notches they facilitate the location and installation of the hinge on a door and jamb. The tapered over-lapping of the leaves avoids the need to provide rebates to receive the hinge, or the need to trim or bevel the edge of the door to prevent binding when the door is closed.

    摘要： A butt hinge includes a first hinge plate with a pair of axially spaced outer gudgeons extending from an edge of the first hinge plate, a second hinge plate with a gudgeon formed of two axially spaced gudgeon sections extending from an edge of the second hinge plate between the outer gudgeons extending from the first hinge plate, and a hinge pin extending through the gudgeons of the first and second hinge plates for pivotally connecting the first and second hinge plates. The pin is fixed against rotation within the outer gudgeons of the first hinge plate, and a bearing bushing within each of the gudgeon sections of the second hinge plate supports the pin for rotational movement about its axis when the first hinge plate is pivotally moved relative to the second hinge plate.
