The slide portion of the cam has a surface configured to, when the electromagnetic solenoid is in an energized state, press the hook in a direction opposite to an urging direction of the first spring such that the second restricting portion is separated from the first restricting portion.

The energy storage element is mounted between the mechanical frame and the separation roller module. When the separation roller module rotates together with the feeding roller module in a forward direction, the energy storage element accumulates energies. When more than one piece of paper is fed into the paper pickup mechanism, the energy storage element releases the energies.

摘要: A manual feed tray includes a tray body and a lift unit, and the lift unit includes a lift plate, a lift spring and a pair of cursors. The cursor includes a guide portion. When the manual feed tray is closed from a sheet feeding state of the lift plate, the guide portion comes into contact with a facing wall portion, whereby a downstream side of the lift plate in a covering direction moves downward. Thus, even if the manual feed tray is closed with the lift plate moved upward, the lift plate smoothly moves downward.

Where the rotating unit is to be moved at a moving amount towards a side in which the rotating unit separates from the supporting shaft as part of removing the rotating unit from the installation portion, the interlocking device moves the movable shaft in the axial direction at a moving amount that is larger than the moving amount the rotating unit.
