    摘要: A dual-cam linkage system controls the orientation of tines on a reel of a crop harvesting header. The dual-cam linkage system includes a stationary, substantially circular first cam track that has a rotational center that is offset from the rotational axis of the reel. A second cam track is located in a support plate on which a tine-supporting member is mounted. The dual-cam linkage system also includes a pivoting linkage having a crank, an arm. The crank has a first end fixedly attached to the tine-supporting member. The arm has an outer end attached to a second end of the crank. The first cam follower is attached at an inner end of the arm and engages the first cam track. The second cam follower is attached to the arm at a position between the first cam follower and the crank and engages the second cam track.

    摘要: A sickle cutting system is mounted on a header for forward travel over ground having a standing crop thereon and includes a cutter bar with a plurality of knife guards and two opposed sickle bars driven in opposite phase with a drive system for driving the sickle bar through repeated cycles of reciprocating movement from start-up of the system through to a shut-down. The drive system includes a control device responsive to the sensor signals from both of the first and second drive systems for advancing or retarding one of the first and second drive systems so that a number of sensor signals obtained from the first drive system is continually maintained so as to be substantially equal to a number of sensor signals obtained from the second drive system to maintain the sickle bars in opposite phase.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for supply of treating fluid to a cutting apparatus directly to cut vegetation substantially simultaneously with the cutting of the vegetation. Treating fluid is delivered from the supply to an intermediate, sealed reservoir into which a desired volume of treating fluid is maintained and a rotary shaft seal is provided to seal the reservoir against entrance of debris. The treating fluid is then delivered from the sealed reservoir, via centrifugal force, through a channel to a passageway formed in the bolt connecting the cutting blade to a blade mount of the mower.

In particular, the flywheel support bearing is located in an annular space between the inner hub and an outer flange which is rotated by a belt or other drive for rotating the flywheel.

    摘要: A height adjustment device for a front mount mower including a support frame pivotally attached to the mower deck at the point where the rear of the mower deck is supported by push arms extending forward from the drive vehicle. The forward portion of the support frame carries a pair of ground engaging wheels and the forward end of the mower deck is disposed to be attached to and supported by the support frame at one of a number of vertically spaced positions. A cable connection between the push arms and the support frame automatically levels the rear of the mower deck with the adjusted level of the front of the mower deck.

    摘要: An elongated stiffener is provided along a portion of the rear edge of a barback. A ball joint connects one end of a barback brace rod to the inner end of the stiffener. Both the brace rod and the stiffener extend from the ball joint generally towards a drive rod for a sickle which is mounted on and extends forwardly from the barback. The stiffener is located behind and extends between a pair of guide blocks on the barback which receive and guide a moving guide bar which is a part of the sickle drive. The barback stiffener is about the same thickness as the barback and is about one-half the width of the barback. It adds section modulus to the barback in a region of the barback which without such extra section modulus would be bent by forces imposed on it by the drive rod for the sickle.
