    摘要: A tubular skylight for lighting rooms with natural light, comprising a tubular body with a reflective inner surface which leads into a room and has, at its external end, a natural light collector assembly and, at its internal end, a light diffuser. The collector assembly comprises, inside an optically transparent dome arranged so as to close the tubular body, a mirror-finished body which is substantially shaped like a cylindrical band with mirror-finished inner and outer surfaces. The axial width of the band-like body varies gradually from a minimum-width point to a maximum-width point, which lie diametrically to each other. It is also possible to provide a cylindrical refracting body that surrounds said mirror.

    摘要: In a tubular skylight, a corrugated Aluminum sheet is formed with a hole that is pressed into a curb which is fastened over the turret of a roof-mounted skylight flashing. Roof tiles above the dome of the skylight are placed onto the sheet, while below the dome the sheet is placed over roof tiles and manually conformed thereto, owing to the corrugations. Any water that leaks past tiles above the dome will be directed by the sheet around the curb and down onto the tops of tiles that are below the dome, thereby providing a water seal for the skylight.

    摘要: The invention relates to a light-pipe system for conducting/distributing light and air, which can also purify indoor air, particularly in a building, or the like. The light-pipe system includes a light-pipe for conducting light and having a clear top dome mounted at the top of the light-pipe to let in sunlight but keep out dust, rain and UV. An emitter fitted to the bottom of light-pipe improves the light distribution into the room, and a ventilation stack laid around the light-pipe coaxially/or non-coaxially, and a photocatalyst film (e.g. Nanometer TiO2) coated on the outer surface of the emitter for purifying indoor air under the illumination of light from light-pipe. The air and light are conducted separately along two different transport paths. The light-pipe system can provide illumination, ventilation and air purification simultaneously. The light source may be daylight, artificial light, light storage material or a mixture of them. Air can be moved naturally and/or is transported mechanically. Mirrors in the light-pipe may be used to control brightness and distribution.

    摘要: A skylight with displacement absorber and interlocking telescoping tubes is provided. The displacement absorber may be expandable, compressible, and bendable. The displacement absorber may absorb thermal expansion and contraction displacement between the skylight assembly relative to the building in which it is installed, as well as mechanical compression displacement from forces upon the building roof. The interlocking telescoping tubes may provide for telescopic adjustment of the length of the tube assembly. Also provided is a collar for securement to the building roof, the collar optionally including a condensation collection gutter. The skylight may also include a top elbow, adjustable for angular orientation of the light tubes depending from it. A lower adaptor box is also provided, for adapting from the cross-sectional geometry of the displacement absorber to desired cross-sectional geometries of interior ceiling diffusers.

    摘要: A skylight for installation on a roof of a building is provided. The skylight includes a frame that has a plurality of elements and defines an interior opening. A mounting bracket with a first and second leg is included. The first leg of the mounting bracket is connected to one of the elements of the frame, and the second leg may have a guide structure with at least one opening that extends at an angle with respect to the second leg. The guide structure may be used for securing the mounting bracket and skylight to the roofing structure. The skylight may be provided with a flashing profile that has a rigid section attached to one of the elements of the frame and a flexible section attached to the rigid section. The rigid and flexible sections may extend along the longitudinal lengths of two different elements of the frame. The skylight may be provided with both the mounting bracket and the rigid and flexible flashing sections as discussed above in accordance with various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
