An apparatus and a method for enhancing memory utilization by compressing unused programs and their system files are provided. The method for generating a profile for a selective loading of a terminal includes receiving a selection of at least one application program that is to be activated, identifying that there is at least one application program to be activated among present deactivated application programs and to be deactivated among present activated application programs, compressing other application programs and system files related to the other application programs than at least one application program to be activated and generating a profile comprising a list of at least one application program to be activated.
Abstract:
An encryption-based security protection method and apparatus are provided. The method includes generating a random key pattern table in order to allocate a plurality of random key patterns of original data to be transmitted; generating an address pattern table in order to allocate a plurality of address patterns of addresses in which the original data is stored; and generating a mapping table in order to map the plurality of random key patterns and the plurality of address patterns. The apparatus includes an address pattern table generation unit; a random key pattern table generation unit; a mapping table generation unit; and an internal memory unit which stores the address pattern table, the random key pattern table, and the mapping table.
Abstract:
Methods of encrypting and decrypting data, and a bus system using the methods are provided. The method of encrypting data includes: performing an operation on data that is to be transmitted through a bus with a key stream generated from a predetermined key so as to encrypt the data; transmitting the encrypted data to a predetermined module through the bus; and transmitting a synchronization signal that is logic high when the encrypted data is transmitted through the bus to the predetermined module. Therefore, an encryption speed is improved and encryption can be simply embodied so that security of data received from the bus can be improved.

A method and apparatus for performing a handover in high frequency wireless communications are provided. A device for performing a handover in a wireless network, includes a priority order list including a priority order for becoming a coordinator, a handover controller making a handover request to a selected device existing on the network based on the priority order, and a transceiver transmitting network information of the device performing the handover according to the handover request.

A method and apparatus for a coordinator handover in high frequency bandwidth wireless communication are provided. The apparatus having the coordinator includes a device priority list that records the priority of devices that can act as a coordinator, a handover controller that requests a handover to a selected device by referring to the device priority list, and a transceiver that transmits network information to the device according to the handover.

A method and apparatus are provided for enabling a legacy station to perform virtual carrier sensing when a plurality of stations with heterogeneous capabilities coexist in a wireless network. The method includes transmitting first data via a bonded channel which is formed by channel bonding first and second adjacent channels, and receiving an acknowledgement (Ack) frame via each of the first and second adjacent channels.

Disclosed is a method for determining a paging alert mode of a mobile terminal in a mobile communication system. The mobile terminal determines whether there exists a sub-BTS, depending on a broadcasting channel message provided in a cell formed by a main BTS. When the sub-BTS exists, the mobile terminal monitors receipt of a beacon paging group frame from the sub-BTS, and upon receipt of the beacon paging group frame, changes the paging alert mode to a predetermined paging alert mode.

A low-noise amplifier for a mobile communication terminal maintains linearity with the least current consumption. A low-noise amplifier controller detects a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of a received signal, and outputs a control signal of a preset voltage when the SNR is lower than a predetermined SNR even though AGC AMP controller increases the AGC gain according to field strength. A bias circuit increases a bias current according to the control signal output from the low-noise amplifier controller. A low-noise amplifier amplifies the received signal to a preset level according to the bias current provided from the bias circuit.

The device includes an RSSI detector for detecting a strength of a signal received from a base station, and a controller having a memory for storing bias voltage control values and bias current control values corresponding to strengths of received signals, wherein the controller reads the corresponding bias voltage control value and bias current control value in response to the detected signal strength and supplies the read values to a power amplifier.

A transmission-reception apparatus in a digital radio communication system for minimizing electrical interference within the apparatus by eliminating interference attributable to the use of different frequency generators. The transmission apparatus includes an antenna, a quadrature modulator for quadrature modulating first and second data to be input, an up-converter for increasing a frequency of the quadrature modulated signal to a transmission frequency band and then for supplying the resulting signal to the antenna, a reference frequency generator, a carrier frequency generator for generating a carrier frequency for modulation by being phase-locked with the reference frequency generator, and a frequency multiplier for generating a respective local oscillation frequency for up-conversion by multiplying the carrier frequency by a predetermined positive number. Up-conversion of the quadrature-modulated signal can be performed in a single stage or in a plurality of stages.
