    摘要: A medical diagnostic ultrasound real-time 3-D transmitting and imaging system generates multiple transmit beam sets using a 2-D transducer array. Each transmit beam set includes multiple simultaneous ultrasound transmit beams. The system acquires multiple receive beam sets in response to the transmit beams, and each receive beam set includes multiple simultaneous receive beams. A real-time, three-dimensional medical diagnostic ultrasound image is formed in response to these receive beams. Several techniques for reducing cross talk in such a system are discussed.

    摘要: An ultrasonic imaging system and method provide a composite image having a near-field region and a far-field region that are displayed in a common imaging mode. The near-field region emphasizes received ultrasonic imaging at a harmonic of the fundamental of the transmit waveform, while the far-field region emphasizes received ultrasonic information at the fundamental frequency. In this way the advantages of harmonic imaging are obtained in the near-field without sacrificing penetration performance in the far-field.

    摘要: An ultrasound method and system are provided for producing three dimensional images. During an imaging session, a transducer, in response to a transmit beamformer, transmits ultrasonic energy at a first frequency band into a subject. The subject may be kept free of added ultrasound contrast agent throughout the entire imaging session. A receive beamformer receives ultrasonic echo information associated with the transmitted ultrasonic energy. Information signals associated with a second frequency band, such as a harmonic frequency band, are obtained from the echo information. A three-dimensional reconstruction is formed or a volume quantity is calculated in response to the information signals. The transmission of ultrasonic energy may also include energy focused along an elongated high power region or a line focus.

    摘要: An ultrasonic imaging system includes an ultrasonic transducer having multiple ultrasonic transducer elements which are movable between at least first and second configurations which differ in curvature. The transducer elements supply receive signals to a receive beamformer, and the receive beamformer supplies output signals to a scan converter, which is controlled by a scan converter controller. The scan converter controller generates a control signal indicative of the configuration of the transducer elements, and the scan converter responds to this control signal to reduce image distortion associated with movement of the transducer elements between the first and second configurations.
