    摘要： The present invention is directed to golf balls having at least one layer formed from a saturated polyurethane composition. The polyurethane is the product of a reaction between an H12MDI/PTMEG-based prepolymer and a polycaprolactone curing agent. Golf balls of the present invention include one-piece, two-piece, multi-layer, and wound golf balls. The composition may be present in any one or more of a core layer, a cover layer, or an intermediate layer.

    摘要： The present invention is directed towards a method of forming a multilayer golf ball which comprises a core, an inner cover layer and an outer cover layer. The steps include forming a golf ball core; molding an inner cover layer around said golf ball core with a material having a first shore D hardness; and casting an outer cover layer around said inner cover layer and golf ball core with a thermoset material having a second shore D hardness less than the first. The core is comprised of a center made from a first rubber based material and an outer layer formed from a second rubber based material. Preferably, the first rubber based material has about 15 to 25 parts of a crosslinking agent per hundred parts of rubber and the second rubber based material has about 20 to 40 parts of a crosslinking agent per hundred parts of rubber.

    摘要： A golf ball includes a core formed of an inner core and at least one outer core layer disposed about the inner core, one of which includes a surface amount of trans-polybutadiene and an interior amount of trans-polybutadiene at least 6 percent less than the surface amount. A cover containing an inner cover layer and an outer cover layer is formed over the core. The inner cover layer includes a block copolymer of styrene and butadiene, isoprene, or ethylene-butylene rubber and has a material hardness of about 60 to 70 Shore D. The outer cover layer is formed from a castable polyurethane or polyurea and having a material hardness of 55 Shore D or less. The inner core has an interior hardness and a surface hardness differing from the interior hardness by greater than 20 percent.

The inner layer having a material hardness of 50 Shore D to 80 Shore D, a flexural modulus of 30 to 175 kpsi, and comprising a composition that comprises a polyester elastomer. The cover layer is formed from a composition having multiple reactive and/or non-reactive ingredients, and having a material hardness of 25 Shore D to 70 Shore D and a flexural modulus of 2,000 psi to 100,000 psi. The cast cover includes a composition that comprises a hydrogenated telechelic polyhydrocarbon polyahl having a number average molecular weight of 1,500 to 10,000. The cover is a cast urethane or urea material.
