Abstract:
A valve medium processing device for IC coins and coins includes a housing having an insertion slot with an IC coin passage connected to receive IC coins from the insertion slot. A coin passage is also connected to receive coins from the insertion slot. A retaining unit for IC coins selectively stops and releases an IC coin, so that a read and/or write unit can establish a value for the IC coin. An IC coin allocating unit is positioned downstream in the IC coin passage for directing an IC coin to one of an IC coin storage passage and a retain passage. A coin allocating unit allocates a coin to one of a coin storage passage and the return passage.
Abstract:
With a digital still camera, a user freely detects a smiling face on a touchpanel displaying a through image and selects a subject having that smiling face. The digital still camera displays the smiling face as a smiling face detection target and a non-target detected face on the through image in a distinctly different manner to discriminate the smiling face detection target from the non-target detected face. For example, when persons in an event such as a party are photographed in a relatively large viewing angle, an auto photographing operation may be performed in response to smiling face detections on condition that at least two members in the party are smiling.
Abstract:
A vehicle control apparatus and methodology relate to an exhaust gas sensor and sensor heater associated with an exhaust passage of a vehicle engine. The exhaust gas sensor is selectively heated to an applicable activation temperature by the heater so that the sensor may output a normal and accurate sensing signal. The heating must take place, however, without causing damage to the sensor such as that resulting from condensation that may occur within the exhaust passage as a result of engine operation and environmental conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a management system for a game arcade which does not decrease authenticity of money information, and is manageable without changing setting even if the number of a game machine is increased.A transmitting side includes money identification units, a slave processing unit connected to each money identification unit, and a slave wireless communication unit connected to each slave processing unit. A receiving side includes a master processing unit, and a master wireless communication unit connected to the master processing unit and communicating with the slave wireless communication unit. The system establishes a communication channel between the master wireless communication unit and the slave wireless communication unit, and the slave processing unit transmits the money information and the check information to the slave wireless communication unit. The system checks the authenticity of the check information corresponding to the received money information, and stores in the master processing unit the money information corresponding to the check information detected as a current money.
Abstract:
A disc apparatus includes a casing having an opening for insertion/ejection of a disc, a rotator for clamping and rotating the disc, a disc-transferring member, a head facing a recorded face of the disc and being movable in radial directions of the disc, a rack movable together with the head, a first pinion gear engageable with the rack, a motor for driving the first pinion gear; and a switching member moving between a transmission position and a cut-off position. The switching member connects a power transmission path for transmitting a driving force of the motor to the disc-transferring member when the switching member is in the transmission position, and cuts off the power transmission path when the switching member is in the cut-off position.
Abstract:
A contact charging roller includes a support member and a conductive coating member. The conductive coating member is composed of a seamless tube that contains at least (1) a non-polar resin or a styrene-type thermoplastic elastomer excluding a poly(styrene-hydrogentaged butadiene-styrene) block terpolymer and (2) a polar resin or an elastomer having a polar functional group containing at least nitrogen or oxygen, and contains carbon black in an amount of 10% to 60% by mass with respect to the total mass of the non-polar resin or elastomer and the polar resin or elastomer.

Abstract:
The pattern (pattern characteristic quantity) extracted from the pattern image carried by original printing paper is stored on the original printing paper and the validity of the original printing paper is verified according to the pattern stored on code-added printing paper at the time of copying the printed contents of the code-added printing paper so as to determine if the code-added printing paper is truly original or not by means of the pattern carried by the printing paper itself. Therefore, it is possible to prevent unauthorized copying with ease without using any special paper and hence appropriately protect the printed contents.
Abstract:
A coin dispensing device is provided that prevents a returning of a first coin to prevent a clink noise. The coin dispensing device has a rotating disk that dispenses coins to a guiding unit one by one. The dispensed coins are guided upwards by the guiding unit in a line. A coin return preventing unit prevents the first coin going backward which is located adjacent to the rotating disk. The first coin dispensed by the rotating disk is prevented from moving backwards.
Abstract:
An input shaft speed signal for rotating a motor at a predetermined rotational speed is output from a rotation control unit to the motor. A rotational speed reduced by a speed reduction device with elastic bodies is detected by an output rotation sensor. A CPU obtains slippage by calculating a reduction ratio based on the detected output shaft speed signal and input shaft speed signal. Load torque is determined from the obtained slippage. A current value to be supplied to the motor is determined so that the motor produces torque corresponding to the load torque. The current value to be supplied from a motor driver to the motor is thus controlled.
