Abstract: Systems and methods may provide for conducting an interest analysis of data associated with a user, wherein the interest analysis distinguishes between abstract interests and social interests. Additionally, one or more recommendations may be generated for the user based on the interest analysis and a current context of the user, wherein the one or more recommendations may be presented to the user. In one example, the abstract interests identify types of topics and types of objects, and the social interests identify types of social groups.

Abstract: Technologies for time-delayed augmented reality (AR) presentations includes determining a location of a plurality of user AR systems located within the presentation site and determining a time delay of an AR sensory stimulus event of an AR presentation to be presented in the presentation site for each user AR system based on the location of the corresponding user AR system within the presentation site. The AR sensory stimulus event is presented to each user AR system based on the determined time delay associated with the corresponding user AR system. Each user AR system generates the AR sensory stimulus event based on a timing parameter that defines the time delay for the corresponding user AR system such that the generation of the AR sensory stimulus event is time-delayed based on the location of the user AR system within the presentation site.

Abstract: Logic may determine a specific performance of a neural network based on an event and may present the specific performance to provide a user with an explanation of the inference by a machine learning model such as a neural network. Logic may determine a first activation profile associated with the event, the first activation profile based on activation of nodes in one or more layers of the neural network during inference to generate an output. Logic may correlate the first activation profile against a second activation profile associated with a first training sample of training data. Logic may determine that the first training sample is associated with the event based on the correlation. Logic may output an indicator to identify the first training sample as being associated with the event.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for visually or audibly indicating to users what areas are being covered or monitored by cameras, microphones, motion sensors, capacitive surfaces, or other sensors. Indicators such as projectors, audio output devices, ambient lighting, haptic feedback devices, and augmented reality may indicate the coverage areas based on a query from a user.

Abstract: Technologies for automated context-aware media curation include a computing device that captures context data associated with media objects. The context data may include location data, proximity data, behavior data of the user, and social activity data. The computing device generates inferred context data using one or more cognitive or machine learning algorithms. The inferred context data may include semantic time or location data, activity data, or sentiment data. The computing device updates a user context model and an expanded media object graph based on the context data and the inferred context data. The computing device selects one or more target media objects using the user context model and the expanded media object graph. The computing device may present context-aware media experiences to the user with the target media objects. Context-aware media experiences may include contextual semantic search and contextual media browsing. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A system and method for real-time alteration of media content based on stress monitoring is disclosed. A computer system present a single media content item in two distinct content streams to a first and second user. Using sensor generated data the computer system measures at least one user response indicator for the first and second user and estimates a stress level for the first and second users. The computer system determines whether the estimated stress level for the first user exceeds a first predetermined stress threshold. In accordance with a determination that the estimated stress level for the first user exceeds a first predetermined stress threshold the computer system alters the first stream of the presented media content item to modify the particular portion of the media content item associated with the estimated stress level for the first user.

Abstract: Technologies for remotely controlling a separate computing device includes a wearable computing device to receive sensor data from an optical sensor of the wearable computing device. The sensor data comprises data is indicative of a skin surface of a forearm of a user of the wearable computing device. The wearable computing device generates control data based on the received sensor data. The generated control data is transmitted to the separate computing device. In some embodiments, an x-coordinate is generated based on detection of longitudinal movement of the wearable computing device relative to the skin surface of the forearm of the user and a y-coordinate is generated based on detection of rotational movement of the wearable computing device relative to the skin surface of the forearm of the user.
