Abstract: A UE receives a configuration for one or more downlink reference signal or downlink channel from a base station and receives an indication of one or more time and frequency resources for full-duplex communication at the base station. The UE skips reception of the one or more downlink reference signal or downlink channel based at least in part on the indication of the one or more time and frequency resources for the full-duplex communication at the base station. A UE receives, from a base station, an allocation of uplink resources for an uplink transmission and receives an indication of one or more time and frequency resources for full-duplex communication at the base station. The UE transmits the uplink transmission to avoid the one or more time and frequency resources for the full-duplex communication at the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may identify an applicable restricted resource scheduling rule for restricting full-duplex operation on a first set of resources. The base station may transmit one or more control messages scheduling one or more full-duplex communications on a second set of resources based on the applicable restricted resource scheduling rule for restricting full-duplex operation on the first set of resources. In some examples, the second set of resources may overlap in time with the first set of resources. In other examples, the second set of resources may not overlap with the first set of resources in time or frequency. Accordingly, the base station may communicate the one or more full-duplex communications on the second set of resources. The described techniques may enable the base station to perform full-duplex communications with reduced interference and improved reliability.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to determining multiple beams to use in transmitting messages in a random access procedure with one or more transmission/reception points (TRPs) of a cell, and transmitting, to the one or more TRPs of the cell, multiple instances of a first random access message based on the multiple beams, where each of the multiple instances of the first random access message include a preamble portion and a payload portion. In another aspect, a node receiving the multiple instances of the first random access message can determine multiple beams to use in transmitting messages in the random access procedure and can transmit with one or multiple TRPs, to the UE and in response to the first random access message, multiple instances of a second random access message based on the multiple beams.

Abstract: Aspects described may include performing a beam failure detection (BFD) measurement procedure with at least one reference signal (RS) associated with at least one of a DL beam for half-duplex (HD) communication and a DL and UL beam pair for full-duplex (FD) communication; transmitting a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) and a beam failure reason message for the at least one RS associated with the at least one of the DL beam for the HD communication and the DL and UL beam pair for the FD communication to a network entity in response to performing the BFD measurement procedure; and transmitting a measurement metric associated with the beam failure reason message and the at least one of the DL beam for the HD communication or the DL and UL beam pair for the FD communication to the network entity based on a result of the BFD measurement procedure.
