An electromagnetic field intensity calculation apparatus calculates a virtual current vector from a voltage vector and a mutual immittance matrix of an object including a wave source where a wave source power is applied. The voltage vector and the mutual immittance use a wave voltage of the wave source as a unit voltage. The apparatus also calculates an input impedance of the wave source based on a virtual wave source current of the virtual current vector and a unit voltage of the wave source, and calculates the wave source voltage based on the input impedance and the wave source power. The apparatus further calculates a current vector based on the wave source voltage calculated and the virtual current vector, and calculates an electromagnetic field intensity around the wave source which is determined based on the current vector.

An electromagnetic field strength calculator calculates currents flowing through an electric circuit device which is an object of analysis by means of the moment method, and calculates and displays the strength of an electromagnetic field radiated from the electric circuit device from the calculated currents. In this calculator, a grid setup unit partitions a plane of a model representing the circuit device with a grid of lines having specified spacing. Next, a current calculation unit calculates currents at grid intersections or points within areas partitioned by the grid, on the basis of currents flowing through an element of the model of the circuit device calculated by means of the moment method. The currents thus calculated are displayed on a display by a current display unit. This allows a current at a point in the electric circuit device to be visually displayed in a form easy to understand.

The electromagnetic field intensity calculating device comprises an input unit for inputting the precise structure of the electric circuit device including the structure of the metal portions and the structure of the dielectric portions; a deriving unit for deriving simultaneous equations based on the structure of the electric circuit device input to the input unit, a calculating unit for calculating the electric current flowing through the metal portions and the equivalent electric current and the equivalent magnetic current flowing through the dielectric portions by solving the simultaneous equations; and a computation unit for calculating the intensity of the electric field and the magnetic field radiated by the electric circuit device based on calculation results obtained by the calculating unit.

In a calculation apparatus for calculating intensity of an electromagnetic field radiated from an electronic circuit device, the apparatus includes: an input data file for storing structural information of the device; an input unit for receiving structural information of the device to be analyzed from the input data file; a section unit for dividing the device into applicable sections for a distributed constant circuit method and inapplicable sections for the method by analyzing the structural information of the device; a first calculation unit for calculating current distribution at the applicable sections using the distributed constant circuit method; a second calculation unit for calculating current distribution at the inapplicable sections using a moment method and using the current distribution obtained by the first calculation unit; a third calculation unit for calculating the intensity of electromagnetic fields radiated from the device based on the current distributions obtained from the first and second calculation unit; and an output unit for outputting the calculated intensity of the electromagnetic fields to an output data file.
