    Abstract: A thermal transfer recording medium that is capable of dealing with the requirement for an increase in thermal transfer printing speed, and high density and high quality of a thermally transferred image, capable of preventing the occurrence of abnormal transfer at high temperature and high humidity, and capable of improving transfer sensitivity in printing. A thermal transfer recording medium includes a heat-resistant lubricating layer on one surface of a base material, and an undercoat layer and a dye layer in that order on the other surface of the base material. The undercoat layer includes a copolymer of a polyester having a sulfonic acid group and an acrylic polymer having at least one of a glycidyl group and a carboxyl group, polyvinylpyrrolidone, and an oxazoline group-containing polymer. A binder resin of the dye layer is an acid-modified polyvinyl acetoacetal resin.

    Abstract: A spout assembly includes a spout and a cap. The cap includes an inner ring having an outer peripheral surface provided with a first region with a first outer diameter and a second region with a second outer diameter. The spout includes a side wall having an inner peripheral surface provided with a first region having a first inner diameter and a second region having a second inner diameter. When the cap is threadably engaged with the spout, the first region of the inner ring is in close contact with the first region of the side wall of the spout throughout the circumference, and the second region of the inner ring is in close contact with the second region of the side wall of the spout throughout the circumference.

    Abstract: A decorative sheet includes a substrate and a surface protective layer formed on the substrate. A decorative plate is formed by laminating the decorative sheet on a base. The surface protective layer includes a first surface protective layer formed on the substrate and a second surface protective layer formed on part of the first surface protective layer. The first surface protective layer contains a curable resin and has a surface kinetic friction coefficient of 0.11 or more and 0.30 or less. The second surface protective layer contains at least one of resin beads and an inorganic compound filler. The first surface protective layer is glossier than the second surface protective layer.

    Abstract: An operation tool for a fluid injector includes an outer cylinder having a housing extending from a first open end to a second open end, and a selective transfer mechanism provided on the outer cylinder. The selective transfer mechanism moves the fluid injector from an initial position to a first protrusion position and then to a second protrusion position in the housing of the outer cylinder. When the fluid injector is at the initial position, the multi-microneedle device has microneedles retracted from the first open end and positioned inside the housing, when the fluid injector is at the first protrusion position, the microneedles are protruded out to a first distance from the first open end, and when the fluid injector is at the second protrusion position, the microneedles are protruded out to a second distance from the first open end. The second distance is shorter than the first distance.

    Abstract: An individual certificate medium includes an optical security patch in which a relief layer and a metal layer include a first area and a second area. The first area includes an altered region and a portion of the relief layer overlapping with the altered region as viewed in the thickness direction of a recording layer. The second area includes a non-altered region and another portion of the relief layer overlapping with the non-altered region as viewed in the thickness direction. As viewed in the thickness direction, the first area transmits light incident thereon, while the second area absorbs light incident thereon to hide a recording region. In a direction intersecting the thickness direction, the first and second areas cause light incident on the optical security patch to emerge as diffracted light.

In the color developing structure formed on a surface of a base material: the color developing structure has a rectangular shape in plan view, and is formed of a concavo-convex structure having a plurality of convexities with different heights and a laminated film including a plurality of layers laminated on the concavo-convex structure; the plurality of layers adjoining in a lamination direction are made of materials that transmit light of the same wavelength band and have different refractive indices with respect to light of the wavelength band; and the plurality of layers have about the same thickness.

    Abstract: A microneedle unit includes a microneedle including a facing surface having at least one projection and a support surface opposite to the facing surface, a recessed container having a housing space between an opening and a bottom of the recessed container for housing the microneedle such that the microneedle has the facing surface facing outside of the recessed container through the opening, and an adhering structure having a first contact surface adhered to the bottom of the recessed container and a second contact surface adhered to the support surface of the microneedle. The recessed container is deformable such that the bottom is displaced in the pressing direction, that the at least one projection is displaced in the pressing direction on an outside of the housing space, and that a portion of the second contact surface positioned outside the support surface is pushed toward the outside of the housing space.
