摘要: A periphery monitoring radar device includes a transmission unit, a reception unit, a spectrum generation unit, an azimuth calculation unit, an environment determination unit, and a position calculation unit. The transmission unit transmits a combination of transmission signals modulated using a plurality of modulation modes. The environment determination unit determines whether a peripheral environment is a complex environment from the degree of randomness of a frequency spectrum for each modulation mode. The position calculation unit removes, upon the peripheral environment for at least one modulation mode being determined to be the complex environment, at least one azimuth corresponding to the at least one modulation mode from the azimuths respectively calculated for modulation modes to thereby obtain at least one target azimuth that is at least one of the remaining azimuths except for the removed azimuth; and calculates a position of the vehicle based on the at least one target azimuth.

摘要: A radar system and method for calibrating a radar system, the method including the steps of: measuring a set of azimuth angles of the radar system to obtain a plurality of measured azimuth array responses, wherein the radar system is physically rotated about a first axis of the radar system between each azimuth angle measurement; measuring a set of elevation angles of the radar system to obtain a plurality of measured elevation array responses, wherein the radar system is physically rotated about a second axis of the radar system between each elevation angle measurement; obtaining an azimuth calibration matrix based on the plurality of measured azimuth array responses and an elevation calibration matrix based on the plurality of measured elevation array responses; and configuring the radar system to apply the azimuth calibration matrix and the elevation calibration matrix to one or more antenna array responses.

摘要: A mainlobe detection process can include a number of tests that are performed to define when the monopulse antenna system will transition from open loop scanning to closed loop scanning and then to tracking. A hybrid tracking technique is also provided which adaptively discovers and corrects for phase alignment error. Magnitude-only tracking can be performed initially to locate the nulls in the azimuth and elevation ratios and to identify the magnitudes of these ratios at these nulls. Phase tracking can be then performed. During phase tracking, phase corrections can be repeatedly applied to the azimuth and elevation difference channels to correct any phase error that may exist. During this process, the magnitudes of the ratios can be used to determine how the phase corrections should be adjusted. Once the hybrid tracking process is complete, the monopulse antenna system is properly phase-aligned and phase tracking will be correctly employed.

摘要: A method for determining a DOA (Direction of Arrival) comprises the following steps: (a) providing at least two antennas arranged with a squint angle; (b) producing at least two base beams between two adjacent base beams; (c) every two virtual beams of the multiple virtual beams which cross together at a specific angle are define to a virtual beam set; (d) synthesizing the two virtual beams of each one of the virtual beam sets to be a monopulse; and (e) determining the DOA of the object according to comparison between magnitude of demodulated signals corresponding to the monopulses. A device for estimating a DOA is also disclosed.
