    Abstract: Automated scaling-related operations may be performed dynamically during execution of a spatial simulation. A spatial partition may be locally reassigned, based on application workload information, from a first application to a second application on the same worker. A quantity of applications on a worker may also be changed during execution of a spatial simulation. A parent spatial partition may be split into child spatial partitions, and child partitions may also be merged back into a common parent partition. Indications of partition splits and merges on each of a plurality of workers may be reported to the plurality of workers. A spatial partition may also be remotely reassigned from a first worker to a second worker, such as based on worker-level resource consumption information and partition information. A quantity of workers that are used to implement a spatial simulation may also be changed during execution of the spatial simulation.

    Abstract: Pairs of text collections are obtained. An individual pair comprises (a) a source text collection which includes a first group of text sequences and (b) an annotated analysis result of the source text collection, comprising a second group of text sequences and a set of evidence mappings generated by an evidence mapping model. An evidence mapping indicates, for a particular text sequence of the second group, another text sequence of the first group which provides evidence for the particular text sequence. A quality metric of the model is obtained using an automated evaluation methodology in which a question is generated from the particular text sequence, and an analysis of a pair of answers (including 10 an answer generated using an evidence mapping) to the question is performed. The quality metric is provided via a programmatic interface.

The natural language question answering service may receive the natural language question from a customer computing device. An aggregator of the natural language question answering service can retrieve passages from search systems based on the question and generate a prompt. A large language model (LLM) of the natural language question answering service may receive the prompt and provide an answer. The answer may be verified by a verifier of the natural language question answering service. Attribution may be applied to the answers and retrieved passages to produce references, inline citations, and similar questions. A watermarking module of the natural language question answering service may watermark the answer if it is verified.

    Abstract: A computing system may detect that a service, which receives a plurality of task requests associated with clients or profiles, is under duress based on performance information associated with the service. The computing system, responsive to detecting that the service is under duress, may successively, until the service is detected to not be under duress, select a profile based on a respective volume of requests associated with the profile, apply a task request limit to the profile, and detect whether the service is still under duress.
