In an embodiment, an e-commerce data processing system can include a catalog sub-system and catalog display management logic. The catalog display management logic can include program code enabled to select between displaying an active mode view and a passive mode view for catalog items in a catalog. In this regard, the active mode can include a catalog display, a subset of catalog items rendered in a static view in the catalog display, and at least one detailed view of detailed information in the catalog display for a selected one of the catalog items in the static view. Likewise, the passive mode view can include a catalog display, a subset of catalog items rendered in a static view in the catalog display, and at least one detailed view of changing detailed information in the catalog display for cycled ones of the catalog items in the static view.

In an embodiment of the invention, a method for e-meeting requirements assurance in e-meeting management is provided. The method includes selecting a scheduled e-meeting for an invitee in memory of a computer, retrieving resource requirements published for the selected scheduled e-meeting, inspecting local computing resources of the invitee, comparing the local computing resources to the retrieved resource requirements to identify local resource deficiencies, and generating a notice of the local resource deficiencies to the invitee prior to a scheduled date and time for the e-meeting.

摘要： A computer method and apparatus of social tagging computer resources is disclosed. In the invention method and apparatus, a data store holds social tagging data of previously followed tags throughout a system. In response to end-user indication of a tag candidate, the invention system retrieves from the data store social tagging data about the tag candidate. A tag previewer forms and renders a display of the retrieved social tagging data. The display indicates number of users having interest in (i.e., having followed, searched with, browsed and/or subscribed to) the candidate tag and its variants, and the type of interest. The display may further indicate identities (e.g., email addresses) of these users having such interest. The display may serve as a precommit preview to the end-user during selection of a tag (the candidate) for a given resource. Alternatively, the tag previewer may provide the invention display of social tagging data during end-user browsing as well.

摘要： A computer-implemented method and system for tag-based searching. One or more initial tags are entered or otherwise input by a user. The invention system determines related tags to the user entered initial tags and enables user review of the determined related tags. The user selects from the determined related tags and forms an improved tag-based search relative to the initial tags. Methods employed for determining related tags include conventional frequency of co-occurrence method, a lexical method, a semantic method, a user list method, a recency method, a reference database method and a resource method. The invention method/system also allows the user to store selected components of those searches for future use/reuse. The invention also allows the user to share selected components with selected other users.

A set of tags corresponds to each service in each user role and specifies an available vocabulary for tagging content at that service. The agent is configured to access the one or more data repositories to load a first set of tags corresponding a user-specified service and a user-specified role, display the first set of tags to the user, and to communicate with the user-specified service to post tags selected by the user from the first set of tags to content at the user-specified service.
