摘要： A receiver designed to receive and engage an interchangeable test adapter (ITA) such that electrical contacts carried by the ITA and receiver are releasably engaged. The receiver includes sliding cam plates driven by a lever assembly and adjacent sliding hanger structures that are retractable. The sliding hanger structures are biased to extend forwardly, and are mounted within hanger slide retaining structures that define forward stops. When an ITA is to be engaged with the receiver, roller pins of the ITA are placed in the hangers such that they also extend into the adjacent sliding cam plates. When the user actuates the lever, the cam plates force the ITA to move inwardly, into engagement. The motion of the cam plates also forces the hanger structures to slide inwardly, such that they are flush with the face of the receiver.

摘要： The invention is related to methods and apparatus for inserting and/or holding electronic modules into equipment racks. For example, the electronic module can correspond to a power supply, and the equipment rack can correspond to a shelf for a standardized equipment rack. One embodiment includes a handle that is movable from a first position to a second position. A power supply is inserted into an equipment rack with a handle in a first position. The first position of the handle permits partial insertion of the power supply, thereby permitting electrical connection of pre-charge contacts. The handle is then moved to a second position, thereby pulling in the power supply and permitting regular power contacts to make an electrical connection. One embodiment further includes a tongue and groove arrangement to prevent vertical displacement of an electronic module.

摘要： A computer casing includes a side panel releasably attached thereto for covering an opening defined in a side wall thereof. The side panel has a first edge from which a perpendicular flange extends. Anchoring tabs perpendicularly extend from the flange. A step is formed on a corresponding edge of the opening with slots defined therein to receive the anchoring tabs with the flange abutting against the step thereby effectively eliminating electromagnetic radiation emitted through the opening. A plurality of locking tabs are formed on an opposite second edge of the side panel. Cutouts are defined in a rear wall of the casing corresponding to the locking tabs. A locking rod movably attached to a rear wall defines a plurality of openings corresponding to the cutouts whereby the locking tabs are allowed to extend through both the cutouts of the casing and the openings of the locking rod when the locking rod is at an unlocked position. When the locking rod is moved to a locked position, edges of the openings of the locking rod engage with notches defined in the locking tabs of the side panel thereby securing the side panel in position. A biasing spring is arranged between the locking rod and the casing for biasing the locking rod to the locked position. A handle is formed on the locking rod for manually moving the locking rod.
