Abstract:
A method and apparatus for sending a broadcast service in a digital broadcasting system. The method includes assigning a same Internet Protocol (IP) address for a common broadcast service when the common broadcast service is provided in at least two IP platforms, each of the at least two IP platforms providing a broadcast service to a terminal; delivering the common broadcast service using the same IP address; and delivering related information relevant to the common broadcast service.
Abstract:
A paging method for informing a UE of the existence or absence of control information in transmission of the control information according to the support of an MBMS in a mobile communication system. In the method, paging according to a voice and packet service and paging according to an MBMS are differentiated from each other. Accordingly, a first paging indication channel for identifying the paging according to the voice and packet service and a second paging indication channel for identifying the paging according to the MBMS are differentiated from each other and used.
Abstract:
A computer readable medium having data stored thereon is provided. A structure of the data includes a media data box including two or more media data, and a movie data (‘moov’) box including information on view sequence data in the media data. The ‘moov’ box includes track reference information indicating that a track box for one view sequence references a track box of another view sequence.
Abstract:
A method for managing information on user equipments (UEs) in a mobile communication system supporting an MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service) service. A radio network controller (RNC) provides a packet switched (PS) service and a circuit switched (CS) service to the UEs. A UE that is in a Packet Mobility Management-Idle (PMM-Idle) mode after joining at least one MBMS service, transmits MBMS service-related information thereof to the RNC, and the RNC stores the MBMS service-related information in a first service context for the MBMS service held in the RNC, together with information on the UE.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for allocating identifiers (IDs) which differentiate data to be transmitted in a mobile communication system supporting the transmission of packet data. The method is used for allocating identifiers to packet data by a radio network controller (RNC) so as to differentiate packet data in a mobile communication system which includes the RNC and a user equipment (UE), wherein the RNC transmits the packet data to a certain cell through at least two common channels including at least two transport channels and the UE receives the packet data through the transport channel. The method includes the steps of: determining a transport channel for transmitting received packet data; and allocating dedicated identifiers for differentiating the pack data according to the determined transport channels.
Abstract:
A license acquisition method and apparatus for a DRM-enabled mobile terminal is provided for acquiring licenses for multiple right-protected content items in a batch processing manner. The rights objects acquisition method for a mobile terminal supporting digital rights management according to the present invention includes attempting download of at least one acquisition-requested rights object, classifying the at least one acquisition-requested rights object into download-succeeded rights objects and download-failed rights objects, and outputting information on the downloaded-succeeded rights objects and download-failed rights objects.
Abstract:
A method for delivering/receiving content in a mobile communication system. A terminal sends a Content Delivery Repair Request message requiring repair of the content to a server, when reception of the content provided from the server is not normally carried out; and receives a Content Delivery Repair Response message from the server in response to the Content Delivery Repair Request message. The server receives a Content Delivery Repair Request message from the terminal, when reception of the content is not normally carried out at the terminal, and sends a Content Delivery Repair Response message in response to the Content Delivery Repair Request message.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an uplink random access procedure in an NB-TDD (Narrow Band Time Division Duplexing) system. To achieve an acknowledgement for data transmission from a UTRAN (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network), a UE selects one of a plurality of sync codes by which the UTRAN identifies UEs that request data transmission and transmits the selected sync code in a time slot of a sub-frame to the UTRAN. Then, the UE receives the sync code information, information about the arrival time of the sync code, time update information indicating a variation in the transmission time of data, and power information indicating an adjustment to a power gain in the UE from the UTRAN on an FPACH (Fast Physical Access Channel). The UE transmits the data on a P-RACH (Physical Random Access Channel) mapped from the FPACH according to the time update information and the power information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving LASeR contents are provided, in which content including at least one of a scene element and a scene element set that includes the scene element is received, for use in scene composition, and a scene is composed by selecting at least one of the at least one of the scene element and the scene element set included in the content according to at least one of a terminal type, a user preference, and a content-serviced party.
Abstract:
An HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) communication system is disclosed. A Node B reduces a size of a field transmitting TBS (Transport Block Set) information for user data based on an MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) level assigned to the user data and the number of codes assigned to the user data, before transmission, instead of transmitting an intact size of the actually transmitted transport block for the user data, among TFRI (Transport Format Resource Information) transmitted to a UE (User Equipment) over a shared control channel.
