The use equipment includes receiving circuitry configured to receive a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising first information used for configuring a frequency domain occasion for a physical random access channel (PRACH) transmission, the first information being for a first uplink (UL) in a serving cell. The receiving circuitry is configured to receive a RRC message comprising second information used for configuring a frequency domain occasion for the PRACH transmission, the second information being for an supplementary uplink in the serving cell, the supplementary uplink (SUL) being different from the first UL. The user equipment also includes transmitting circuitry configured to perform the PRACH transmission. The receiving circuitry is configured to receive downlink control information with cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a random access-radio network identifier (RA-RNTI).

A metric of forward link geometry of observed transmission signals is determined. An indicator of channel quality value is determined as a function of the observed transmission signals. An access sequence is selected, randomly, from one group of a plurality of groups of access sequences, wherein each of the plurality of groups of access sequences correspond to different ranges of channel quality values.

摘要: Techniques for utilizing multiple carriers to substantially improve transmission capacity are described. For multi-carrier operation, a terminal receives an assignment of multiple forward link (FL) carriers and at least one reverse link (RL) carrier. The carriers may be arranged in at least one group, with each group including at least one FL carrier and one RL carrier. The terminal may receive packets on the FL carrier(s) in each group and may send acknowledgements for the received packets via the RL carrier in that group. The terminal may send channel quality indication (CQI) reports for the FL carrier(s) in each group via the RL carrier in that group. The terminal may also transmit data on the RL carrier(s). The terminal may send designated RL signaling (e.g., to originate a call) on a primary RL carrier and may receive designated FL signaling (e.g., for call setup) on a primary FL carrier.

摘要: This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and provides a channel state information measurement method and apparatus, so that a receiver can measure CSI without joining a network of a WiFi transmitter. The method includes: sending, by a CSI request apparatus, a first CREQ frame, a group of session parameters used to transmit a CS frame,; receiving, by the CSI request apparatus, a CRSP frame sent by a first CSI response apparatus,; receiving, by the CSI request apparatus, the CS frame by using the first session parameter; and measuring, by the CSI request apparatus, the CS frame to obtain CSI. The method is applied to a scenario of positioning or a scenario in which CSI measurement needs to be customized.

摘要: Some embodiments provide a method in a wireless device for reporting channel state information, CSI, for a CSI process. The CSI process corresponds to a reference signal resource and an interference measurement resource. According to the method, the wireless device obtains an adjustment value associated with the CSI process. The wireless device estimates an effective channel based on one or more reference signals received in the reference signal resource, and applies the adjustment value to the estimated effective channel, thereby obtaining an adjusted effective channel. Furthermore, the wireless device determines channel state information based on the adjusted effective channel, and on interference estimated based on the interference measurement resource. Finally, the channel state information is transmitted to a network node.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to supporting cooperative transmission in massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, such as a wireless distribution system (WDS). A WDS includes a plurality of remote units each defining a home coverage cell. A selected remote unit can coordinate with a neighboring remote unit(s) to help mitigate inter-cell interference for a selected client device(s) located in an overlapping coverage area between the home coverage cell of the selected remote unit and a neighboring coverage cell(s) defined by the neighboring remote unit(s). The selected remote unit receives channel-data information from the selected client device(s) and forms a first radio frequency (RF) beam based on the channel-data information to distribute a downlink signal(s) to the selected client device. The selected remote unit coordinates with the neighboring remote unit(s) based on the channel-data information to form a second RF beam to distribute the downlink signal(s) to the selected client device.
