    Abstract: An image decoding method carried out by a decoding device, according to the present document, comprises the steps of: acquiring prediction-related information for a current block; acquiring a dependent quantization enable flag related to whether dependent quantization is available; acquiring, on the basis of the dependent quantization enable flag, a transform skip residual coding (TSRC) enable flag related to whether TSRC is available; acquiring residual information of residual coding syntax for the current block, which has been derived on the basis of the TSRC enable flag; deriving motion information of the current block on the basis of the prediction-related information; deriving a prediction sample of the current block on the basis of the motion information; deriving a residual sample of the current block on the basis of the residual information; and generating a reconstructed picture on the basis of the prediction sample and the residual sample.

An image decoding method according to the present disclosure may include parsing, from a bitstream, first information specifying whether block difference pulse code modulation (BDPCM) applies to an intra-predicted current block, determining a prediction direction of BDPCM for the current block and generating a residual block of the current block based on the determined prediction direction of BDPCM, based on the first information specifying that BDPCM applies to the current block, generating a prediction block of the current block, by performing intra prediction based on an intra prediction mode of the current block, and reconstructing the current block based on the residual block and the prediction block.

    Abstract: An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus include features of generating a prediction block by performing intra prediction on a current block, determining whether to apply position dependent intra prediction combination (PDPC) to the prediction block, and generating a final prediction block of the current block, by applying PDPC to the prediction block based on the determination. The determining whether to apply PDPC to the prediction block may include determining whether a size of the current block satisfies a predetermined condition. Based on the size of the current block satisfying the predetermined condition, it may be determined to apply PDPC to the prediction block. Based on the size of the current block not satisfying the predetermined condition, a determination of a color component of the current block may be skipped and it may be determined not to apply PDPC to the prediction block.
