Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A base station and a terminal that perform communication using an unlicensed band may divide a bandwidth part into subbands and may perform a channel access procedure for the respective subbands. A method for configuring a size of the subband and a method for configuring start/end frequency locations of the configured subband in order to perform the channel access procedure more efficiently in a communication system having various bandwidth sizes and subcarrier spacings.

The information on the radio resources includes at least one of first information on a starting symbol, or second information on a size of each of the resource block groups.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a communication scheme and a system therefor which combines IoT technology and a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G system. According to an embodiment of the disclosure, there is provided a method of a sidelink reception user equipment (UE) in a communication system. The method includes: receiving, from a base station, configuration information associated with power control for transmission of a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH); receiving a plurality of physical sidelink shared channels (PSSCH) scheduled based on a plurality of sidelink control information (SCI); identifying at least one first PSFCH based on the number of PSFCHs scheduled in response to reception of the plurality of PSSCHs and the maximum number of PSFCHs that the first UE is capable of transmitting; in case that total transmission power for the at least one first PSFCH is greater than maximum transmission power of the first UE, identifying at least one second PSFCH in order of high priority indicated by the plurality of SCI, wherein a number of the at least one second PSFCH is the maximum number of PSFCHs which enables the sum of transmission power to be less than or equal to the maximum transmission power; identifying first transmission power for each of the at least one second PSFCH based on the number of the at least one second PSFCH; and transmitting the at least one second PSFCH based on the first transmission power.

The method includes receiving, from a base station, configuration information for skipping an uplink transmission; identifying a grant for a PUSCH transmission; identifying whether one or more conditions for skipping a generation of a MAC PDU for the PUSCH transmission are satisfied, wherein the one or more conditions include a condition that no UCI is to be multiplexed on the PUSCH transmission; and skipping the generation of the MAC PDU based on the configuration information, the grant, and an identification that the one or more conditions are satisfied.
