摘要： A piano hammer comprises an elongate hammerhead having a nose portion defining side surfaces and a felt covering extending about the nose portion with tail portions of the felt covering affixed to the side surfaces. The felt covering defines a substantially elliptical peripheral surface from a top region for striking a piano string to front and back regions. An elongated single or dual layer strip is arranged on the peripheral surface of the felt covering in the top region, extending along the front and back regions to points beyond the hammer equator. The layers of this strip or “voicing tape” are made of a synthetic non-woven fabric material, preferably of the type sold under the registered trademark Pellon.

A key frame has an upper surface, and a key mounting part disposed on the upper surface for mounting the key supporting part of the key unit. The key supporting part of the key unit has a first engagement section having a hook-like structure or a press-fitting structure. The key mounting part of the key frame has a second engagement section which engages with the first engagement section when the key unit is mounted to the key frame. The second engagement section has a through-hole or a concave for engagement with the hook-like structure or the press-fitting structure of the first engagement section. The first engagement section and the second engagement section are located above the key mounting part of the key frame.

摘要： Key is pivotably supported by a key frame, and the front end of the key is normally urged upward by a pivot lever. Load member drivable by an actuator is provided rearwardly of a mass body of the pivot lever. Key switch and proximity sensor detect a pivoting position of the key responsive to depression and release operation of the key. Load control circuit performs driving control of the actuator, in accordance with the pivoting position of the key, to move the load member back and forth, to thereby cause the load member to engage (or contact) with the mass body in a depression stroke and terminates the engagement in a release stroke.

The key structure is mountable in a keyboard apparatus, for functioning as a white key pivotally moved by key-depressing operation. A recess is formed in a part of the wood part including the increased width part, which opens downward and has a width (W0) not less than 50% and not more than 80% of the width (B0) of the increased width part of the wood part.

摘要： There is provided a hammer shank for a piano which is capable of suppressing a change in the dimension between two arms due to dryness and wetness to thereby ensure smooth and stable operation of a hammer. A hammer shank is supported by a flange and pivotally moves in accordance with key depression. A shank body formed of wood has two bifurcated arms formed on one end thereof. These arms extend in facing and parallel relation to each other along respective opposite sides of the flange, and are pivotally supported by the flange. Phenol backers are attached on outer side surfaces of the respective two arms so as to prevent the two arms from being displaced in a direction in which they face each other.
