Abstract: Disclosed are a method of manufacturing a billet used in plastic working for producing a composite member and a billet manufactured by the method. The method includes (A) ball-milling powders of two more materials to prepare a composite powder and (B) preparing a multi-layered billet containing the composite powder. The multi-layered billet includes a core layer and two or more shell layers. The shell layers except for the outermost shell layer are made of the composite powder. The outermost shell layer is made of a pure metal or metal alloy. The composite powders contained in the core layer and each of the shell layers have different compositions. The method has an advantage of manufacturing a plastic working billet being capable of overcoming the limitation of a single-material billet and enabling production of a characteristic-specific composite member such as a clad member.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a real-time parathyroid imaging device, and a real-time parathyroid imaging device for displaying only a parathyroid in a thyroid with a separate mark, the real-time parathyroid imaging device including: a light source configured to emit light to a thyroid and excite a parathyroid; a detector configured to detect an emission spectrum of the parathyroid excited and emitted by the light source; an excitation filter disposed in front of the light source; and an emission filter disposed in front of the detector. When central Compartment Neck Dissection (CCND) for thyroidectomy is performed, the present invention clearly marks a parathyroid by an autofluorescent image, thereby allowing a surgeon to more simply and safely perform the CCND while leaving the parathyroid.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable probe for photoacoustic tomography, capable of performing line-by-line scanning or area-by-area scanning by using a small number of light inputs; and a real-time photoacoustic tomography device. The probe for photoacoustic tomography includes: a lens receiving light inputs from an optical fiber so as to make the same proceed as small diameter parallel light; a Powell lens receiving the small diameter parallel light and generating a line beam of a predetermined thickness, and allowing energy dispersed on a line to be uniform on the entire line; a lens making the line beam pass therethrough such that the line beam has a predetermined width and a reduced thickness so as to be line-focused at a target area; an acoustic reflection glass for separating, from a light path, an acoustic wave outputted from the target area; and an acoustic measurement unit for measuring acoustic strength.

Abstract: This application relates to a method of manufacturing an electrostatic chuck having a high heat dissipation property and high thermal shock resistance and being lightweight, and an electrostatic chuck manufactured by the method. In one aspect, the method includes preparing a composite powder by milling (i) aluminum or aluminum alloy powder and (ii) carbon-based nanomaterial powder through ball milling. The method may also include manufacturing a multilayer billet including a core layer and one or more shell layers surrounding the core layer, in which at least one of the core and shell layers contains the composite powder. The method may further include extruding the multilayer billet to form an electrode layer and forming a dielectric layer on the electrode layer.

Abstract: Disclosed is a mobile colposcopy device for early diagnosis of cervical cancer, which includes an insertion unit which is inserted into the vagina of a woman, has a penetrating hole formed in one end coming into contact with the uterus, and is provided with a capturing path communicating with the penetrating hole, a capturing unit which is provided in the insertion unit so as to capture the cervix through the capturing path, and a lighting unit which is provided on the capturing path of the insertion unit and irradiates a lighting to the cervix through the penetrating hole. According to the present disclosure, the mobile colposcopy device for early diagnosis of cervical cancer can be simply and easily used so as to perform cervical cancer screening using a mobile colposcopy without environmental constraints including hospitals and allows women to early diagnose cervical cancer.

Abstract: Disclosed is a beamforming method using a deep neural network. The deep neural network may include an input layer, L hidden layers, and an output layer, and the beamforming method may include: obtaining channel information h between a base station and K terminals and a transmit power limit value P of the base station, and inputting h and P into the input layer; and performing beamforming on signals to be transmitted to the K terminals using beamforming vectors derived using the output layer and at least one activation function, wherein the base station transmits the signals to the K terminals using M transmit antennas. Here, the output layer may be configured in a direct beamforming learning (DBL) scheme, a feature learning (FL) scheme, or a simplified feature learning (SFL) scheme.
