Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a hydrophilic modified polymer membrane and a method for fabricating the same, and more specifically, to a polymer membrane dip-coated with double bond-containing PVDF (DPVDF) and modified to be hydrophilic by reaction with a polymer or monomer containing an amine group, and a method of fabricating the same. The polymer membrane of the present disclosure is fabricated by physically coating a porous polymer substrate by dip coating with DPVDF, and then chemically modifying the surface of the dip-coated substrate to be hydrophilic using a polymer or monomer containing an amine group. That is, the polymer membrane is fabricated by performing both physical coating and chemical coating so that the dissolution of inorganic particles in the membrane can be further suppressed.

Abstract: A device and method for estimating a concentration distribution of a fluorescent tracer in a low permeability medium is proposed. The device may obtain images by photographing acrylic boxes containing respective mixtures prepared by combining and stirring each type of clay with fluorescent tracer solutions. The device may also calculate a light intensity for the fluorescent tracer solutions for each clay, derive a light intensity of each RGB channel for each type of clay, select a channel representing a gradual change in the light intensity, and derive a concentration versus intensity equation of the selected channel. The device may further obtain images by photographing a flow chamber at an early stage and late stage of diffusion, estimate a fluorescent tracer concentration by using the concentration versus intensity equation, and evaluate validity of an estimation result by comparing the estimated fluorescent tracer concentration with a modeling value.

Abstract: Disclosed are a device and a method for generating ultrasonic scan image information, which can convert a rotatory motion of a motor into a linear reciprocating motion of an ultrasonic probe to allow the ultrasonic probe to scan a subject at high speed, and rapidly generate an accurate three-dimensional ultrasonic image by using a trigger signal. The device for generating ultrasonic scan image information disclosed herein converts a unidirectional rotatory motion of a driving motor into a linear reciprocating motion of a ultrasonic probe connected to the driving motor and two-dimensionally scans a subject by the linear motion of the probe and a vertical motion perpendicular to the linear motion so as to generate an image of the subject. The device may comprise: an ultrasonic irradiation/reception unit for irradiating a subject with ultrasonic waves through a probe and receiving a reflection signal of the irradiated ultrasonic waves through the probe; a signal conversion unit for receiving the reflection signal and converting the reflection signal into a digital image signal; a main control unit for receiving the digital image signal and generating ultrasonic image information about the subject; and a trigger control unit for generating a trigger signal on the basis of motion information of the probe, wherein the ultrasonic image information is generated in synchronization with the trigger signal.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for predicting an elution order of compounds in a mixture. The method includes (a) building a quantitative structure-retention relationship (QSRR) model and (b) predicting a chromatographic elution order of the compounds in the mixture on the basis of the QSRR model using mathematical programming. The mathematical programming is a non-linear programming technique in which a predicted elution order of the compounds is used as a constraint or a multi-objective optimization (MOO) in which a retention time prediction error and an elution order prediction error are used as objective functions. With the use of the method of the present disclosure, it is possible to optimize separation of complex mixtures in reversed-phase chromatography by enabling identification of accurate positions of individual compounds that provides higher certainty in identifying a given compound, e.g., during an “omics” analysis (proteomics, metabolomics, etc.).
